  3. I disagree. I don't think you could make this statement even generally speaking. You need spirit and perserverance, not a high pain threshold to suceed in kyokushin, or really in anything. Kyokushin kata/patterns are much more fluid (IMO) than shotokan kata and as someone said before our movements are more circular.
  4. I assume you mean informally inside the dojo and not in competitions. I started doing light sparring almost right away once I started kyokushin.
  5. I disagree. He never seemed a petty man and doing something like that would be an atypical act for someone acting and living in the Japanese culture. He would have been hiding a side of himself from a lot of people to leave the world in the hopes of destroying something he worked on his entire life to build. I also think that there are more than two solutions to any problem.
