  1. by streching after lessons. my sensei says when we are grading it doesnt matter how high we can do a kick what they are looking for is the technique.
  2. there are only a few people i would give my life for on this earth and they are my family and best friends who i concider my family. as far as fighting goes since i have started martial arts i have learnt discipline and i havent had one street fight. ive had people trying to start fight walking in 2 me to try and get me 2 start people on road saying stuff to get me to fight but i dont let it bother me im above that. the only time i will fight is when i really feel that im in physical danger and there is no way i can get out. i hate fighting and i feel i am lowering my self to their level if i do. its always a last resort for me.

  5. ^ i agree when i was younger me and my mates used to do backyard wrestling and 1 fight we took through the house and out to the street it was all fake but it looks real and my nose got busted open during the fight some 1 called the police and we had 2 stop half way throughand they thought we were really fighting coz i had blood running from the side of my nose. stupid i know but what im getting at is the its almost 100% likely that some1 will call the police and you guys will get stopped. if you are doing full contact you should always have a doctor on had like they always do at full contact fights. people have died in the ring before you know. personally i think this is a really stupid idea. my mates whanted to do the same thing but when they thought about it propperly they realised that someone could get really hurt and its not work the risk. just my 2 pence.   7. i personally think it is best to master the 1 style that suits you best then learn and add bits of other styles for example if you mastered kung fu you could learn thai boxing elbows and knees and the grappeling from bjj stuff like that.
  8. i loved van dam's blood sport that was great movie. has anyone ever seen egal shadow fist? its says on the back staring jackie chan but he doesnt star in it he is about 14 years only and doesnt fight once. on the front of the dvd there is a pic of him and its not even from the movie i was so pisses off when i got it even though it was only £5 (my local HMV sells loads of old martial arts dvds for that price) i didnt even watch all of this film it was so rubbish when i got half way through the film i just fastforward to the fight scenes which were still pants. wost MA film ever. enter the ninja i got along with billy blanks' hiden tiger enter the ninja is one of the worst MA films ive seen. the billy blanks one wasnt to bad there are some quite good training scenes and fight scenes too but his acting is terrible lol. only got them coz they were £1.50 each on dvd the black sheep affar is also terrible i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw it being sold on dvd for £20 last week any1 who bought would be kicking themselves.
  9. though saying that in my last post we have a new student in our class and she is quite hot so i might have 2 try it lol. if a girl or a boy dont come back after they split up it shows that they aint that serious about their MA.
  10. i think you should comine the both do the bag work on the days you are not doing the weight training but do make sure you have at least 1 day of rest durning the week and if you do train 5 or 6 days work on different parts of the body on different days with the weights so you have time to rest.

  12. i know its mean but if they are being lazy just usually punch them hard in the face to wake them up and to fight propperly if they dont want to get hit again. now my class has only 6 students including me i dont have that problem.
  13. to be honest after years of smoking weed (which i dont do any more) my memory is not what it was. alot of the stuff i eat i know is good for me but i just can't remember why. raw honey is ment to be good for energy and there is somthing in the lemons 2. i also rememebr reading that you should eat honey before and during weight training sessions as it gives you extra energy.
  14. yeah there are routines that you can use your body weight but it says that your better off doing low reps with high weights so when you can do a certian amount of crunches for exaplme u shold put a weight behind your head or if your doing dips or chin ups that you should use a weight belt.
  15. i juice a lemon or 2 depends how big the bottle of water and mix it with some raw honey and fill the rest up with water. a great enegery drink.
  16. speaking of backpain i woke up this morning with a sore back its its been bothering me all day, no muay thai tonight now.
  17. yeah i agree^ if your back is hurting you should get it checked as soon as poss and if it hurts when you are training dont traing until you have your back sorted out, you dont want it to get worse and or even permanate so you? Peace
  18. my last girlfriend i met her at kickboxing. when i met her at first i thought she was hot and was gonna move it but found out she had a bf but what i didnt knwo is that she liked me 2. it took a year b4 we started going out and it was cool. we tried to hide it from every1 but we got caught kissing by my sensei whhen we thought we were being sly down some back road lol every1 in the class was cool about it and my sensei used to always crack jokes about us to. but when we did spilt up she didnt come back to kickboxing any more and she had been there long before i started. i said to my sensei that it will be weird (when i didnt know that she wasnt gona come back) but im big enough to deal with it. looks like she wasnt. the only thing that i really feel bad 4 is my sensei i no he dont really care but its my fault that he has one less student. get me? oh well.......
  19. we never do full contact sparing though i wouldnt mind if we did some times but my class only has 6 students in and we are all different weight classes so it wouldnt be fair at all. we spar at the end of every lesson for about 20 mins. i only have one lesson a week as my sensei's other clases are on the other side of london. but i do go to the boxing gym where we traing on the bags and fight in the rings on sundays.
  20. your never to young to start eating healthy and thats what the spartan health regime is about. yes you are to young for the weight lifting programs but not for the diet. a usual days meal time for me will go somthing like breakfast- fruit smothie lunch- jacket potato and tuna, or home made veg soup with this special vogal bread, or rice and veg (have my complex carbs in the middle of the day) dinner- i have a salad(no dressings), or a stew, or chicken and veg pudding(always get a sweet craving after diner)- i have some plain yogurt 2 clemintines a few wall nuts broken up a banana sometimes grilled(though it does kill alot of the goodness) and some raw honey if i get hungry in between meals i have a drink of water and have a pice of fruit. i make sure to never have sugar, cafine, white flour and sunflour olis. also i find my self getting sick if drinking water all the time so i juice a few juicing oranges and put that in a jug in the fridge and use it like orange squash and dilute it just to give the water some taste. hope that helps you.

  25. i remember when i first started kickboxing i was the only guy who did pushups on his knees along with all the women. but the more you practice the better you get.
