  1. It doesnt matter what art you study and how long.Even for the untrained, they still react with punching and kicking. One main thing to handle handicap fights would be footwork. There are other things to do,but this is what I would rely on most. Many people think footwork is a big part in street combat. Moving around and keeping all 5 opponents in sight will lessen the chances of being snuck from your blind spots. I also believe when your in a handicap fight, your always on defense.I believe offense can leave many open spots, ive had 2on1 boxing...and everytime I attacked one opponent, the other got me right in the jaw,not the greatest feeling. Also being on offense could get your attention on 1 opponent when there is actually 4 more right next or behind you.Thats jsut my thought on that..
  2. not all bows are the same. And they all have their own meaning. Some could have the hands represent something when bowing,or others just bow in respect to their instructor and class with hands on their sides.
  3. its just a white wrapping around the guys stomach n waists. Japanese men use to wear that under their clothes back in the day...like underwear.
  4. I never can get more than 7 hours of sleep..its just impossible for me.I can be tired as hell one day and then wake up the same time. There was only one time i had around 10 hours...that was after a trip from Cali. Jet lagging sucks, expecially when you have school the next day
  5. Jump roping is probably the best exercise to help you become light footed. It gives a huge boost to your footwork.
  6. if its not exactly in the groin area then it most likely is a muscle strain, knowing the fact that you hadnt stretched before doing a wide kick like that.
  7. Fights that involves fighting more than one opponent is possible to win. In my opinion, footwork is a big part of handicap fights.May sound stupid, but id rather be contious than have someone sneak up behind me while the other one is attacking.
  8. that coulb be the reason why. To me those are the size of sock em bopers...but feel like they are blocks of cements around my hands. I normally train with 14oz...but going barehand to wearing something can still make a big difference to you no matter what size they are.
  9. does it hurt exactly in the groin or around that area?
  10. Well, one tip for you if you want to lose some belly fat would be to cut down on calories.Thats just for overall finese. No more fast foods, chips, candy, snacks, etc. Go for veges or fruits if your hungry between meals. I wouldnt be to helpful on getting big,im more on the whole cut than buff scene. I use rubberbands instead of weights,it gives off good resistance,i recommend those if you want to get cut biceps. Doing different types of push ups also help the chest become cut.Diamonds, supermans, and wide armed are the ones I normally do.
  11. What glvoes do you wear exactly? boxing? bag gloves? Ive trained with weighted boxing gloves. My arms felt like it was a chain..and my fists were the ball.
  12. It was not his nipple..even though I had thought the same at first. It was actually going to the white band aid around the japanese mans stomach.Normally japanese people would have something liek that on. Example:If you know the game tekken 4,you'd see that heiachi has on a white band aid that is like a big diaper.
  13. Gi sparring is always enjoyable. I love it when people use the belts of the opponent to choke them.
  14. Well judging on how you say that your arms and legs dont feel like a part of you,it could be that you are wildly swinging your arms and legs to try to hit the opponent. It could be that or either your form needs to have a bit of a clean up.
  15. fight clubs are no fun. Still has a lot of restrictions unlike real fights. Dont waste your time on something like that, you do MA for the love of it and for self defense, not going around showing people your ability to fight like a street thug.
  16. Just one. Never regretted leaving a Mcdojo for a real Dojo.
  17. I remember hearing softly hitting your shins with a hammer for a couple of weeks strengthens the bones. Pro-Powerful kicks and less pain Cons-Messed up bones, lose feeling in your legs. I suggest you dont do this...this is like for...insane muay thai fighters in thailand..
  18. Wait..I think I have an idea of what you all are talking about. Does the main character of the anime look like a cartoon version of bruce lee with a dragon tattoo on his body? I remember seeing that anime at blockbuster.
  19. I would really like to know who this Frank Dux is. His reputation sounds so horrible that im intrested in finding out who he is...so I can point at my computer screen...and laugh my * off.
  20. of course you can break their leg if you hit the knee hard enough. It takes only a couple of pounds to break a human bone. And for your throwing problem....learn to punch right If you bust a knuckle, then your punch is improper.
  21. I enjoy my dojo. The kindest people train there, but when were in training, they could be your worst enemy aswell...which is why I enjoy my dojo.No one goes easy on eachother..even for the new guys.
  22. Very true, take advantage of what is open for you to hit. One place I always enjoyed kicking was the inner thigh,it hurts like hell and could get your opponent off balance.Destory the base, and the whole foundation crumbles.
  23. that movie is the best, the main character was ALL him..jumping over cars to leaping and spin kicking everyone with his knee's. One of the best movies ive seen, except the movie budget is horrible..some stunt doubles looked so fake from the actors..
  24. no its a style. Jet Li and Donnie Yen study that style.
  25. Wushu is very entertaining for me. They can come up with the most suprising and new stuff.
