  2. "death touch" live demonstration hehe.... wouldnt that be funny "YES I DID IT!!!!" - "Damn, video evidence of me committing murder".... hehe
  3. well good luck with your training and hope you enjoy it
  4. yes but more so do training methods- i imagine you train more for that sort of thing - or train in a different way
  5. yes but the arms helped him get on the inside....
  6. I was actually talking about interpretation of the bible.... literal versus sub-textual...... when i mentioned catholicism
  7. like has been said - drop all teh finicky [awkward] stuff and go for something thats easier to apply at full speed..... you can learn all that fine-motor skill stuff but it will be more effecitve in a SD situation to learn methods, and moves that are simple.... if thats what ur traiing for.
  8. yes but still - as far as the trainign goes [which is what ive said before ] there are better techniques that take less time to condition for
  9. try and keep going once you stuck in with an attack rather than just flicking otu 1 or 2 moves.... work their defense.
  10. that was my mistake .... so sorry for the confusion
  11. TKD is NOT predominately a sport..... might be where you train but in my experience its not.... secondly - learning scenarios (if he does this you do this) may not be the best way of learning SD.
  12. like everyones say ing - cross training's alright at any stage so long as you're able to keep the ideas separate in the lessons, but work them together in a way that works for you.
  13. Yeah this is going the way of humour threads.... "slick-do" - the art of talking your way out of any situation
  14. Breaking bricks in general is relatively impressive yes..... so 2ft would still be with spacers... but i agree without it would be very impressive.
  15. Like i said - i wouldnt go that far, its a great read; and a well written book with good ideas....
  16. What about girls who are obsessed wtih MA...... and can easily beat you hehe.... any difference? Like i said it makes near no difference to me, just interested in opinion
  17. like it has been said - and seems to have been proven, everyone has their own idea of what a warrior is, and it just seems to be a target to aspire to..... I wouldnt consider my self a warrior.... but i wouldn't consider many that way either.
  18. front kick
  19. i think we have a couple of hapkido / combat hapkido-ists onthe board, look around for them they might be able to give you some tips - from what i understand its a good all-round art.
  20. So long as you keep the training separate there shouldnt be a problem cross training.... what you may want to do is augment those striking arts with a grappling art as well i.e. jujitsu, judo, hapkido, etc. What you may discover when cross training at an early stage with similar striking arts, or just any striking arts, is that the methods and approaches to technique may bleed into each otehr, and you find your self making mistakes, if you know you can avoid this and keep the training separate then go for it.....
  21. Personally id go check out each of the schools [take a random selection of a couple of the TKD schools] and see waht tehy're offering adn what they look like.... go to the thread "what do you look for" for advice on what alot of the more experienced MAs look for in a school
