but speed and power does not equal fighting ability. or the ability to hit a moving target. the advandtage would lie in the frame of mind that the TMA trains with the TMA trains to survive a real life situation where as the martial athlete trains to get to the next round
I May be off base but when i hit someone i psi is the last thing im worried about. sure i want to hit them as hard as possible but im not thinking I need to get him with 700-1000 psi so why focus on such a trival endevour?
If you dont study the technical side your just cheating yourself, also how does this affect your insticts? also teaching is a great learning opportunity
I agree just attempt to focus on defending your self and go home safe also if your in demanding situations alot you get used to them and they become less of an isssue
the best thing in a real situation has more to do with attiude and fortitude than style. the bottom line is you must be willing to do what it takes to survive. if that means gouging someones eyes out or breaking bones or well you get the point no matter what your trained in if you are not willing to use it for real than its worthless If it's me or the bad guy Im going home period
sounds risky at best , it might work if you dazed him first. also be leary of causing unecessary harm in a real fight as there could be legal repercussions
