Drunken boxing
Gilbert replied to Gilbert's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
it is true that being drunk loosens up the body and makes it more flex to smooth around with the movements...but you dont need to be drunk.. the style your imititating a drunking person holding wine cups. you can be holding the imaginary wine cups with one finger or do it with two. some excercises you can do are stand on one leg....and the other bend up to waist level. now do ten strikes forward with the hands...like punching but using the wrist. DO NOT LOCK YOUR WRIST WHEN YOU STRIKE... just use the power from the forarm. you dont generaly hit with the wrist but with the top part knuckles. do ten on each hand and change leg and do another ten on each side. another excercise is called the bridge..hope you know this excersise because it is kind of hard to explain it typing. this excercise try to hold it for 1 minute.. another excercise is the scorpion...its like doing reverse leg lifts. in leg lifts you lie facing up. in scorpion you lie facing down. then without getting up do reverse sit ups do about 10 reverse leg lifts and 10 reverse sit ups another is the rag dolls... you fall forward and like a ball you roll all over continuesly forward.......this is very dangerous...ONLY DO THIS EXCERCISE IF YOU ARE FLEXIBLE ON YOUR BACK. thats what the bridge excercise is for. to build flexibility. now in this art since some dont drink.......one could spin...very fast...and try walking without losing balance and falling all over....this is just to get a feel out of what it feels like to be drunk and performing the art. -
The mind.....

alright, alright it was just an example to explain what i was trying to explain.....what if it is a friend who grabbed your shirt because of a misunderstanding...like he saw you walking with his girl or whatever...or if he got into something like drunk or something. or maybe a family member like a brother. would u want to kick the hell out of him or just detain him and make him listen and explain what happened. -

its up to you... -
there can be two types of boxers and excuse my languange.... 1.a stupid boxer 2.a good boxer a stupid boxer will want to show off and bob and weive and come at you like an idiot with punches all over trying to confuse you..but hell be surprised when he gets kicked in the groin or in the head or legs. a good boxer....will get his guard up...if he knows that he is fighting with an opponent that kicks. he may want to use another guard..and for the boxers out there id recomend this guard. you put your front hand down(the one with the jab) but not too low. that way you'll see the low kicks much better and have more opportunities.

to distract your opponents mind when some grabs your shirt really tight(an example) and he is strong and you cant move his hand to get him in a grappling technique. give him a little distraction with you hand or a little fake kick to distract the mind and energy he was sending to the arm which he had you grabbing with. the mind will be distracted and the technique can be applied easily because he loosened up the grip and he didnt even notice.

Calm and collective.
Gilbert replied to Dijita's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
see....in every question a topic has...how everyone thinks differently. the mind makes them believe they have a good opinion. in fact all are good opinions. the person who thinks it and observes an image in his mind applying the technique gives a fact to himself. its all in the mind. -

in his eyes(bruce lee eyes). he just wanted to say in way...this might be more useful if you do it like this..understand now? im not saying its bad but a person who studys martial arts should know that it is not good to be saying my style is better than yours or that this style is no good at all. every style is good and should be respected such as the practioner respects his or her fighting style.

elbows are very effective in close range.... but be careful how you strike with your elbow see...in striking with the elbow can be dangerous.... strike it upward you will rip and bust the person open. i you do it side ways and inward your beating not busting or ripping him up. ofcourse in a fight....a striker fights but becareful how you control you attacks.

well look, first of all, this computer stuff aint my thing.....and im no 14 yr old kid.....its not that im telling people off, but one should not speak or make fun of something he doesnt believe....i do know about the art of peace and how to live in harmony. its just that ive never liked when someone says that this style is no good. or that this is better than that. like bruce lee....they used to make fun of him....he use to go to other shcools and try to show something more better but they wouldnt believe him or just throw a laugh at him. and what happened in the end....he was the best fighter i have ever seen till now. as the typing goes....look....ive seen so many others type worse than i did.(there just mistakes...because sometimes its difficult to type down something you want to explain). as the ki goes......all im gonna say now is that its all in the mind. i will say no more.... plz note if someone who really wants to know how to use ki ask me or email me...at ldoubleg@hotmail.com. forgive me if there was an insult.

ok this one is for mr. thaegen. with your hand. form an O like if your saying ok with your hand . now position the hand like if your saying ok to the floor. now tell your partner to put 2 fingers of each hand inside through your index finger and thumb finger. use strength and tell him to open your fingers. now relax and a little drop of force send ki to your hand and tell him to do the same thing. in your mind think(he is not going to open my fingers). ask him which was harder.

Gilbert replied to G Money Slick's topic in Pro Fighting Matches and Leagues
well i dont like to call him a fighter but someone i look up to and every day understand his way, is murihei ueshiba. Although nobody could touch that man, and that man could flip you with a single finger, he detested fighting. -
Murihei Ueshiba..and his art
Gilbert replied to Gilbert's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
well manuelito i thought you were smart to know what i was talking about..... but well i changed the topics name. now do you understand what im comparing. -
Murihei Ueshiba, who was born in December 14, 1883. he was the founder on aikido. he was rejected off the army due to his height. he was less than five feet. but finally when he got drafted he became an infantryman. he then, defeated a high rank swordsman. evading all of his attacks and thrust. He perfected the art he founded he was know as O'sensei(great teacher, master of aikido). his condition became critical he told his students that aikido is for the entire world. "to train not for selfish reasons but for all people everywhere". at the age of 86 he told his son to take care of things and died. Aikido is the art of peace. not to harm or kill but to control.

the excersices are pretty hard and you can hurt yourself. if you want to know some excercises just ask.. -
in a fight you wont have to use much force if u use ki. you wont get winded and you will always have control of the opponent. you will maintain yourself calm, relaxed, and if he grabs you, you will apply a technique using ki, same goes with the strikes...use his energy to apply the technique. the more forceful he comes the less force you use. always be ready when fighting but relaxed also. not tense or so ready that your getting nervous. just go with the flow. and if he strikes use the neccessary technique or counter attack you need. dont over do it. by doing so many things or you'll get knocked down. Remember learn the technique but have no technique. Bruce lee didnt say this just to say it.....think about it. questions?feel more than free
-
you can try to bend it in any way..... its all in the mind and ki. another way to practice ki get a partner...... kneel down with both knees on the floor(like in aikido when opening the class). then tell your partner who is standing in front of you to grab your shoulders and push you back slowly and with force. you'll fall easy. now...do it again, but this time when he places his hand on your shoulders grab lightly his elbows and use ki....ask him to push you back...he is having a hard time right. Why? becuase you are simply connecting energy with him. if your doing it correctly, now do this...stand up even if he is pushing and walk towards him...he is problaby losing balance and getting tired from the force to push he is using while you are just relaxing and at the same time was able to simply stand up and now controled him. nothing supernatural or anything like that? it is just ki. anymore question on ki or more excersices please ask.
