fat weighs less the muscle. I find scales absolutley meaningleass, buy a tapemeasurer and measure your waist now and A month from now. Youll see a difference

If theres more then one of em, grab them in s tanding joint lock, parade him around, make him squel, and tell the rest of the group if they come any closer youll not only break whatever joint youve got, but you'll also do something alot worse. But Id say making the first attacker squeal would help persuade the others not to attack you.

Learning Martial Arts
Beiner replied to Tsubasa's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
What is a good student, one who learns the material well, one who has basic knowledge of the art ect. I say being a good student is how much you put intio the class. -
How does the dan system work? I heard that you have to be graded by a person who is at least 1 dan above the dan you want to be at. Is that correct?

I belive im erady, and I dont want to miss a belt grading over something as miniscule as a broken toe. I figure as long as Im not doing bag work , ill be okay.
-
I can move it, but I caved and saw a doctor and he said its broke just by the bruising and stuff. So first official martial arts injury: broken toe

Differences in Basic Fighting Stance
Beiner replied to Mischievousjoe's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Were taught to cover the head with both hands a thumb away from our face. My sensi says its better to take a shot to the stomach then one to the face. Makes sense. But we practice all of these moves to manipulate punches and stuff for wheever they go, there really isnt that much blocking. -
How do I etll if I broke my toe. Im not goingto get xrays done ebcause there s nothing they do anyways, but last ngith during my practice for breakfalls I caught it on the matt. I contiuned wth practice and now this morning its all swollen bruised on both sides of the joint and I can barely walk on it. So Im wondeering what you all think
