  1. Mat you don't seem to understand that your eating habits may not be the only thing contributing to your obesity problem. Obesity has a high hertibality faction, how often you work out, where you live ( Ie; heat makes you sweat mroe) People here are not trying to put you down, but rather help you get the help you need. we see you want to lose weight, and a proper diet is the first step, bur none of us have the qualifications to make one for you, or even really help. Healthy foods are obvious, just follow the food guide for your diet. But for * sake see a nutritionalist and they can find all the factors that are contributing to your obesity, and cator a diet menu to your individual needs.

  3. Girls are easy enough to get, on an aside im not a player or anything close. Simply treat girls like people, because girls are people. Keep your self hygenic. Bad smelling people are turnoffs to those around em. Don't be fake, if you don't respect yourself enough to be yourself, how can you expect a girl to want anything to do with you, for if she does want to date or whatever with you its not with you, and if she dosn't then you always have an out. Be true to you. and if you truly feel something for someone, let them know. Make them feel the way you see them. If you think said girl is above all the others, treat her as such. Anyway thats my 2 pennys
  4. I'd put my money on the fighters of now. Simply because of physical and mental evolution. The average height of a person in 1901 was 5'0 imagine how small people were over a decacde ago. Then you have to factor in what white warlock said about thm being warriors, take some green berets and various other people from other countrys and put them against these people, no holds bar match. Id bet my last dollar that todays people would win.

  6. Yeh the dojo Im in has small class sizes, and even the orange belts are helping me immensily. Lots of fun, and we have like 2 instructors to 8 people, then a couple black belts who help but don't teach. Its awesome.

  8. Well if this guy hasn't hit you yet, don't worry about it. If he does hit you its assualt and you have the right to denfed yourself. Who cares if people are watching be as vicious as possible. Don't go kill the guy, but If a guy had a couple inches on me, and 20 kg, id be doing anything I can to win the fight. Elbows and knees are your friends, and as other people said take out his legs first. If he's on the ground he's smaller then you. Plus you can get a bunch of joint locks off to make him squel like the piggy he is. But yeh, theres no point fighting unless its in self defense. Don't rise to the occassian its just giving the bully the attention he desires.

  10. Well I had the same thing happen to me in high school. Untill he hit me 1 times too many. I just tackled him football style into a locker after he hit me in the back of the head. A teacher came , sent usto the office, the guy got suspened, and I got a little slap on the wrist. Don't take his guff, but remember 90% of bullys were once bullied try talking to him before anythign else.
  11. I love plays and movies. I try to keep myself cultured and pop cultured so to speak. I also enjoy water sports, tubing water skiing. ANd being Canadian I enjoy hockey and skiing and snowboarding.

  14. So I went to a class at the smaller dojo, and it was great. There was 2 instructors and 5 people at teh end, so the one sensi spent most of the class teaching me how to fall, and then teaching me basic throws and stuff. I loved it. Btw, I know it varies from dojo to dojo, but what is the average for belt transition. I know it depends on me aswell, but ignoring the fluctuations, what is the mean for time it takes to get to yellow belt.
  15. Dont be nice or tolerant, don't establish her existence. She's a child looking for a ttention, and if its negative attetion so be it. Just by the you described her Id say she had ocd ( opositional difiance disorder) which means she'll always choose what annoys you. If you ignore her completely, if if shes poking yah in the eye, eventually her need to belong will kick in, or she'll leave as she won't feel like she's getting the attetion she wants. If shes behaving like a child treat her like a child, the problem only exists because people have let it get this far. You follow the djo's rules, get that guy who she chit chats too to follow the rules (ie. don't let him switch spots) Make her feel like an aoutcast plain and simple.
  16. well off of the spouse bashing here In my opinion the best way to finish a fight is to imobilize your attcker. A strong hit to the chin does it for me. But where I live, if the guy makes a threatining reference, it counts as assault and I have the right to defend myself. I usually Punch him in the stomache then knee him in the head. 2 hard knees in the head, and they are usually down quick. But yeh, if you want to end a fight immobolize them, no matter what the technique.

  18. Yeh its not an actual injury or anything I can still walk normally, but Im achey, or sore all over.
  19. You know that lovely feeling you get after you work out? Well I just started ju jitsu, and Im aching worse then anything. I know IM being conditioned, but moving is hurting. I know with time the aching will either become a norm, or it will slowly dwindle, but Im looking for a quick fix. I've tried the hot tub thing, but it has yet to work. So any pointers would be great Thanx
  20. Most painful injury was popping my ear drum. There is no rehad or streaches for that. You can't walk, and the pain makes you sick to your stomache, even if your on medication. I was on t3's and for the first 2 weeks if there was any bright lights or average level noise, it was hell.
  21. Well assuming its possible, find a gym that'll teach you the moves, condition you further and let you spar with other people. Your trainers won't let wade in over your head.
  22. Yeh theres a big reason why you can't sleep, your bodys still active. WHen you weight lift your bodies pushing blood around to the tissue your tearing, and this blood continues to move for a while afterwards. When yuor going to sleep your body slows itself down, giving itself a break.
  23. Think of it this way, the less surface area, the more direct the energy. You have all of th same forces as a punch but on the tiny surface are of the elbow. If your close enough to drop one do it
  24. I used to be in great shape, Popped my ear drum and had to take a few years off. Started gaining weight, now Im fat and out of sape, and Im sick of it. I am starting to do 3 hours of cardio a week + 5 hours of ju jitsu. Is there any matabolism supliments out there to help speed it up, or soomething. Let me know
