  1. Bah, Warlock, you stole my style!! I've been practicing it in secret, ready to unleash on an unsuspecting public who have large wads of cash and now you've spoiled it!! *sulk* I suppose I'll have to go back to the drawing board and develop my other system, which is Wing Chun Aiki-Shotokan Gracie Jutsu (now with added Okinawan Kobudo!!). I'm gonna be a 20th dan in it - if anyone wants to be a 19th dan, then whoever sends the largest cheque gets it first. I'm hoping it'll be a big success amongst those with no brains and large bank balances.... Nice...about Shaolin Jujutsu..or Shao-Shoto
  2. In my good old days, insurance wasn't an issue. When I started to teach, it became a necessity. My assistants are covered and I pay for it.
  3. That's funny ...I am going to have to use that nect time the subject comes up
  4. Again...Excuse my ignorance....I have a vague idea...what is BJJ?
  5. right. it should be more of a deep thud than a loud pop. I agree. My bud in MT made those thuds...awesome sound...
  6. Why...the same as knuckle conditioning....as you get older it is not necessary, particulary when you are mature and in the workforce....unless you are palnning to be a pro and go overseas.
  7. Sorry...Van Donk sounds as humorous.... He is known as "Mr Happy" because he brings in a lot of money. Just kidding, I don't really know him so I cannot say if he is legit or qualified.
  8. Not intended to bash....Van Dork is a humorous name
  9. She did already... scroll up
  10. Why did you quit in the first place?
  11. Yeahh get to it
  12. I want to get "cultured". I think that is what makes what I am studying unique and just as important. If one is to use the term Gong Fu, should one know all there is to know on the term? Should one know the origin and the culture of it?
  13. Then Do It, per Nike's motto.
  14. So do you think he doesnt want to speak and practice English to Chinese because it may be too difficult?
  15. Fair enough...makes sense
  16. Now you see one reason why I question you.
  17. According to some, they want a "tradition". I am not saying that it is not needed. I find it stange that JJ uses weapons as I saw one practice with nunchakus. I saw one JJ practicing high kicks. See what i am saying....you relate to JJ as grappling and close quarter. yet these practitoners are using other means. It ok, as long as they just acknowledge that JJ is not the BEST out there when they are using things from other arts. "Its all good"
  18. Yes....thanks for your patience. I must re-emphasize that I am not trying to irritate you. I am just trying to get more explanations and more importantly…understand the explanations Strange, my Chinese instructor tells me to stop asking for the Chinese translations on our workouts. He his adamant on speaking English. He tells me if we were in China, he would insist on speaking Chinese. He says we are in a land of English. I believe this could be his way of trying to fit in American/English culture. So I have to find solutions and explanations elsewhere.
  19. Surely there is a name to these historical records and/or where they are located (archive-museum). Not that I need to see them and definately cannot read them. But a reference point. So you are saying type in the names of pan nam wing chun, yuen kay shan wing chun and hung fa yi wing chun. Do you have ANY specific links?
