  1. No shortage of that
  2. You dont need to train in them to know about them... Thats one of my points that I am trying to make. Because someone is Chinese, speaks Chinese, can accuse people of wrngs with Chinese martial arts?
  3. So how does it gets its meaning to mean martial art?
  4. I am not challening you. Just generating more understaning. Why do you keep using the words "its complicated'? You seem to have no problem writing down what you want to say. "i have a 'copy' of the gum gong ging from a few hundred years back and it reads just as it would today if you were to do a modern transcript of it." Does it have Kung Fu as a martial art mentioned in it? And this is the proof (not tot mean that I dont beleive you), per reference, that I seek.
  5. Most dont want to train at home...they want to go somewhere to train.... They want to be there amongst peers and friends....it more fun that way
  6. Besides, it is always nicer to share it with someone.
  7. Interesting...........i'll like it ot be tried on me...... Healing?.....Reading???... I must state, as i continue to state, I am still researching this from many years. My "jury" is still out.
  8. MJ, Did you get a chance to reply to my email?
  9. "You deserve a break today........."
  10. Great response............
  11. Not totally factual. Chen Buddhist sutras tend to dimiss some of this. There were Chinese Martial BEFORE Shaolin. There were rebel fighters that sought sanctuary in Shaolin. Those taught monk disciples also.
  12. See, how can you state that someone is wrong????
  13. I sai that its orgins from India
  14. All of my female students remove their make up before practice. Some are removing in the ladies room in the school. I dont tell them to remove it, they do. I guess they feel it may smudge or run doing a sweaty workout. I give them enough time to prepare. Why not wear make up swimming, aerobics, skydiving, etc... There is a "time and place" to wear make up. In sweaty training is not the place...to much emphasis on "looks" than application
  15. As long as the shadow doesnt hit back. Seriously From what I recall, shadow boxing is used when there are no mirrors and/or equipment.
  16. Um...to learn is to go to class. Strange.....you took the time to register here and post. And you dont wanna take the time to go to class. Heck, I wanna fly a plane...is there a video?
  17. Also...look at me...laugh at my funny pajamas..... I'm a walking billboard
  18. According to some....it could
  19. Variety......like tastes.........
  20. Good article, esp for beginers or people with control issues.
  21. Funny, did I say "I Own a Gun"? Why leave a gun at home?
