Drunken boxing
47MartialMan replied to Gilbert's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
Yeeah, I have read some of his fan mail. Most fans, want him to "take it easy" eith stunts. It is strange, that one cannot speak (almost) about Drunken Boxing without the mention of Jackie. -

Knocking cup from young child's mouth with Nanchaku
47MartialMan replied to Kicks's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Hmmn, but suspending a child from a high wire or used in a "cup" demo is quite the norm. So do what one will with a child if it is under skill and controlled? Heck, I am not "shocked" by it. PC, I am far from that. -
Ignorance is bliss, there are some extremely happy people out there. And anything could be used for a mockery or humor. I feel pity for a man without a sense of humor. Respect? Respect for whom? This is a open forum. If I had offended you, so sorry. Now, getting back to statci/fluid tension, I cannot seem to locate this in a medical journal.

Who? (The "seconds clock" ticking) Hurry, be the first 100 suckers, er callers, within the next thirty seconds! (A whole two minutes later, they are still talking about the product and the "seconds clock" has been "re-started", thus they make the same announcement-again) -
LiTtLeDrAgOn, you have much contradiction on your words: Quote: In that case, (If he does get even angrier) than he is blind and his punches, kicks, ect are not going to be accurate and efficent. So you saying of the above when the opponent is out-of-control. To soldify yourself in maintaining control you write: Quote: I could have it out for someone really bad but if I lose thought and control than Im gonna get demolished in the end... But then, contradictory to both of your above, you write: Quote: Killer Instinct.....Instinctively doing something....On impulse. It's basically when I get in a fight and I see blood, It get's me hype and I wanna just lose control and go out there and tear that person apart. As soon as I see it my "Killer Instinct" is turned on. Further you contradict yourself in one line as follows: Quote: Does that mean he is gonna beat me into the ground????? I dont think so...There is always possibility. LiTtLeDrAgOn, you read too much then recite it as garbage. Go and find a mentor with vast patience. I have had many students that were like you in the very beginning. Proper-personal training and knowledge from a experience mentor/teacher, will instill maturity and wisdom. I will say it again, LiTtLeDrAgOn reminds me of someone....

BJJ and Sambo

He didn't attack per se, he waited for my "champion" to get in. My guy, did an unusual (not so for me) fake. The Sambo guy moved and got hit with a jab into his (Sambo) eye. Apparently, he (Sambo) was not struck in such a manner before, because he froze and I called to stop the action. Which when our advance people spar, there IS NO stopping (unless the "timer" goes off, and then the action continues for serveral seconds after) I liked him. And, I had learned a little. Thus giving me and our system "more versitility". I guess is was the same for him. He has contacted me "now and then" -
Well, books, videos, and the "almighty" internet is not going to teach you properly. To me, Drunken Boxing, is so eccentric, that it will be a waste of time doing it in comparison to the same time used in studying something else. Which does not mean that it isn't effective, but finding a instructor with this is going to be much harder than finding other instructors/martial arts. Find a decent instructor in the next town or county and practice. Extirpate the "idea" of "Drunken Style". Focus on what is available, practical, and use the guidance of said instructor.

What? If your skill (groin strike) wasn't enough to stop him, what makes you think you have a possible second chance? How many street/bar fights have you been in? And don't give me those "after school" situations. (Hit, Bite, Scratch, Eye Gouge, anything that u can do 2 survive keep your distance...) How can the above allow you to keep a distance? "Killer instinct"? What if his is stronger than yours? BTW, welcome to the board and learn.
