  2. I was talking with a friend of mine who's intructor in a Taekwondo School.. He told me there is a Man who's a sponsor of the School and was honored with a Honorary 3rd degree black belt. well, He was telling me that This guy, has never ever ever train in TKD. But now he's an Honorary 3rd Dan. He comes over to the school, everybody have to give him a bow, Then he comes into the class with a uniform, and he Yells, give orders, Order the people push ups and all that. And this guy doesn't even know how to throw a single Punch!!!! I mean, I thought that honorary belts were just diplomas for you to put it on the wall. What do you think of that?
  3. I've been told that i look like the President of Venezuela, Mr. Hugo Chávez lol
  4. I'm not into fire weapons.. you can hurt yourself very very easily with them, and can be taken away and used against you easily too. I would like the idea of knowing how to shoot, how to disarm.. how the guns works.. But not interest on Carry one. I'm more into Improvised weapons you can use everywhere and you don't necesarilly have to carry them. Also, I think stick weapons are second best,.. followed by knifes. As far as Martial arts weapons.. Bo's and Nunckuk's , and filipion sticks would be my choice. And the swords.
  5. Double broadsword routine. Double nunchuk's I think i like double things. lol
  6. I would like to learn Filipino styles weapons.. but as usual, I don't have intructors around to teach me.. So i guess i have to get a couple of good ol' books and videos when can afford them. lol
  7. I think its a bit late for this, but i just saw this post. and i haven't been posting often. lol Wellcome Back. lol
  8. I always wanted a tatoo of a Yin/yang or the Tiger/dragon . on the back of my left shoulder.. a little one. Maybe someday. I don't have anything against a couple of little tatoo's. By they way, Now i think about it, a foot tatoo on a girl can look sexy. lol
  9. My Favorite kick is the simple basic Roundhouse kick... I like to use it high, middle , low, and in combos. its a very powerfull kick. I also like the front and side kicks to set up my roundhouse kick. very simple and efective lol
  10. A Simple Choke Technique is very very fatal if you do it the right way.. How much you can live when you get caught with a "Lion Kill" Choke. lol
  11. Bruce Lee, because he was a real martial artist and a teacher.. Jackie is great but his knowlege is more about movie fighting than real fighting.
  12. Drew Carrey?. Ed ONeil? Homer Simpson? lol
  13. Hello, I understand perfectly that problem.. I wanted to learn Muay Thai and Don't have any school here in the whole country. I've been trying to get all the information i can to start to work on some points and drills and stuff Or getting recomendations about book or videos about it . but i know i can't do much without the help of a good intructor. Im not really looking forward to compete but the learn the Art. Thanks.
  14. Today my intructor and me were talking and another friend who used to be intructor join to the conversation , he retired from martial arts exactly because he was disapointed with all the politics and that's stuff.. he was cheated on the tournaments a lot because the Referees used to give the decision to the Competitor who was student of the Sensei who is the sponsor of the Tournament... Now he's thinking on joining and train with us in a free way... No politics, just sweat, and hard training ..
  15. Oh Dumb me!!!! the question was posted already. lol
  16. Its Okay now??. lol when i was a TKD stylist, i used to like the taeguk 4..
  17. hello, I used to train TKD With a friend who gave me clases a couple of times a week, then when i was ready , he took me and his other students for belt test with his 7th Dan Master. They have belt test for my friend and the master students together. Then , i saw that a couple of other students of my friend who were having there test too and make it great, stay with a white with a yellow stripe belt, and the other people from the Master's school who were having there test too, and they didn't make it as good as my friend's student, got Yellow, and yellow with Green stripes Belt.We did better Froms, better techniques, and we kicked Master's students butts in sparring, but we ended with Lower ranks than his students. Also my friend had to give all the money of the test plus a % of the monthly fees he made. And we also have to buy tickets for dinner and other things the Main Dojang had even if we weren't invited to join and have the dinner. That's why we decided to leave that Dojand and stay ourselfs like freestlye martial artists. I think its an awfull situation, and I've heard a lot of thing like this on other Schools. Thanks

  19. Hello, Master Ken Funakoshi said on an magazine that Karate have only a handfull of techniques that can be applied to every situation . Have you ever used your karate on a self defense situation or street fight?
  20. Okay, let me be the first. lol Jigoro Kano, Ueshiba and Helio Gracie, because they used science and intelligence over muscle and power and develop systems that allow a small person to defende against heavier and stronger oponents. And Bruce Lee, He put Martial Arts in the world and just because of him, martial arts became popular world wide. My own intructor because he's a nice and open minded person. Thanks

  23. Well seems like i was a bit too concern about it. lol Okay I can handle any style then.. Its just when I watched those Guys training, Ouch, looked very painfull for the body. That training looked more tough than Kickboxing. But well, as you said, if you do it with precaution it will be allright.. Besides, Im don't think i want to compete with Pro's.. I just want to add some of those moves and improve my stricking habilities. Thanks for the replies.
