  3. Was thinking in the terms of exercices like sit ups, etc. Have done sit ups with two people holding a belt and feet under the other persons crossed legs. Was just looking for more ideas. Thanks!

  8. Thanks again for the great advice. I've been doing my kata and weapons kata 30 times each day and sparring with fiends in the dojo. But you're so right, to win isn't everything. the main thing is to go and have fun and that I will. Thanks again!

  11. I'll be in a tournament in about 3 weeks. Doing a kata form, weapons form and sparrring. Got the kata and weapon forms down and feel pretty good about sparring. Still feel pretty jittery though. Any ideas how to over come this? Thanks.........

  19. Okinawan Karate tends to be more circular in it's moves and more flowing with a combination of hard and soft. It's roots come from China. Japenese Karate is considered a hard style and linear in it's moves, so yes there is a difference between the two. Most Okinawan Karate use weapons such as the sai, bo, kama, jo, etc. In Japenese Karate this is rare. Less kicks in Okinawan Karate? Can you please explain.
