Coolest move in sparring?
Rotten Head Fok replied to blitzcraig's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I like sparring very much and it has been several years since I've had the oppertunity, but the coolest move, best move, or combination I love is in the sparring itself when creativity, spontaneity, and real time awareness reveals it pearls! -

I don't think it is, I've heard of people wanting to become personal body guards going to this type of training. But why not call them, write them and do some really good research, are you thinking about going ? -

How deep is your style?
Rotten Head Fok replied to CloudDragon's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
markusan, I agree with what you've said. Meditation is a tool and can be used by anyone for anything. As for people thinking that what I've chosen to do with my time here on earth is a waste of time, I can if I wanted say the same about others. Instead I choose to respect the right of others to do what they want to do; without my judgement as long as they are not violating anyone else in their life. -
From my studies and practice being in a quiet and thinking nothing is the goal, but this comes from people that believe in that method. I think that any attemp at different ways are good in the respect that it beats not doing anything at all. I have heard a few meditation CD's at local malls, but I've yet to purchase one. However I'm am interested in the results as every ma should keep an open mind to all that is. So anyone here with there experiences, please feel free to share with us. I have thought about just playing these sounds in my home for the calming effects.

battousai16, I humbly thank you for the compliment, but all arts are great and those that choose to dedicate the time to learn them. Also thanks for the heads-up on the articles, I live in a very small town and the only publications available here is Black Belt, so now I'm going "In Search Of", Thanks!

Spin, I say keep on with your flashy practice and learn more about practical applications. Have fun and work hard, you'll be happier when you understand even more about Nunchaku.

After many years of sparring, the Instuctor ask you to spar with the new student that lands a good strike on you with their first try. Staying late to get in more practice in the back room, you goto leave and find yourself locked-in. During an annual training seminar with 300 students the grandmaster has everyone's attention while he demonstrates techniques on you; you break-wind.

Thanks aefibird, funny stuff! I was laughing to myself, soon I'll be moving and I was thinking;"you look for a place to live based on the amount of practice space it provides. " It's true.
