Brute force does not always count. Smaller people are more swift and nimble. A larger person takes longer to throw a punch and a smaller person can block it quicker. Bruce Lee was an amazing martial artists and that guy was Mini! Maartial arts are also a battle of wits. Learn to anticipate what is coming.
I've got the perfect thing for you! It's called chin na and it's a complimentary martial art. It is all about ground fighting holds and pressure points. It is swift and lethal, look into it.

This is generally not a good sign. You may want to start with your spinning kick on the ground and doing them more slowly. You may also want to rest for one minute in between kicks.

Yeah!!! I know exactly what you mean. I practice karate every morning after waking up and every evening before bed. And I take lessons twice a week. I am definately getting stronger and karate is a self- esteem booster for me. I could stand at home and beat up my makiwara board all day.
You can never be to old or overweight to start taking martial arts. I would take karate because It is moderately aggressive but without to much exertion or jumping. I hope my advice helps.
If you do not know if you want to sign the contract or not you may not be ready to take martial arts. When you sign up you should have it dead set in your mind that you take karate for the following year. That is the only advice that I can give you. I hope that it helps.
