  1. Jab-cross-forward foot round kick-back foot front kick.
  2. At the moment none but I'm interested to try it.
  3. I thought that Tai chi was mosltly a sort of physical exercise with some combat moves. Since (at least here in italy) is practiced mosly on kung fu dojos I thought that maybe there are some similarity with kung fu. Now I learn from you that Tai chi IS kung fu but I noticed that is mostly physical exercise and what concern fighting is not the most relevant aspect... can you tell me more about it?
  4. If you like a striking art Kickboxing will do. Of course it has full contact sparring...
  5. Can someone educate me me about the analogies between kung fu and the combact side of tai chi? Thanks
  6. I really appreciate your article but I must disagree on the last point you made stating that not all MA are compatible with Christian way of life. I think that every MA can be made compatible with our religion if you use the filter provided with your christian culture. Using that you can either adapt or in extreme case reject the phylosophical aspects, your art will be not degraded by this process. You should not passively absorb what your sensei teach you but actively use this filter to adapt or reject those elements that cannot be adapted. You gave already an example on how you can adapt the meditation you make at the dojo in order to be christian compatible. I give you a more complete example of what I'm saying. Yoga is deeply connected to indian religions and pantheistic vision of the world but today we have many books and teachers that teach the christian way to yoga and this is possible only because someone has done this filtering cultural operation. I hope I clearly explained my point.
  7. I've got morpheus.
  8. I'm 42 and I started MA just 9 months ago. I took a quite physical art (kickboxing) and sometimes I feel my I do not have enough stamina. But I think I will earn some by hard training. Anyhow when I spar with people of my experience level even if much younger and better fit I can still give them a lot of trouble You can be sure ....
  9. Aside this site of course I like very much https://www.mikemiles.com with lots of interesting free short videos.

  13. Welcome
  14. That was great. I really appreciate your effort!
  15. No, this is not for zapping away fats. It is a device that has electrodes that you put on your muscles and thru electrical discharges you stimulate them in a sort of passive gymnastic. The electrical discharge generates a muscolar contraction that is advertised to be similar or even better that the one you have during an actual workout. I'm not sure if this thing actually works I'm just trying it, doing also normal workout and martial art training.
  16. Hi, I wonder if anybody has tried electrostimulation? Did it work for You? Bye.
  17. I did 2,750,500. I'm definitively too expensive.
  18. Hello, I'm 42 and living in central Italy. I'm doing kickboxing since march 2003. I also enjoyed cross-training in JKD-Kali escrima combo class for 1 month. Unfortunately the lessons were stopped because we were only two students. Anyway I really enjoy my kickboxing even if sometimes I would rather like to have some cross-training with a more 'traditional' and 'technical' MA , our approach to kickboxing is very 'physical'. Anyhow hello to everybody.
