  1. Since you already wrestle, just add boxing, catch wrestling and BJJ and find some sparring partners to practice "ALIVENESS" with and you will be an Ultimate Fighter. Sprinkle some Muay Thai in there also. You can learn all this from videotapes but you will need sparring partners.
  2. Which is superior? Striking with the hands or striking with the feet? How about in grappling? Are hands more effective against feet? Or do feet reign supreme in grappling?

  4. I got kicked pretty hard by a low blow the other night. Does anyone have any advice for the pain and bruising? Should I see a doctor? I was practicing point sparring. I think I am going to stick with full contact from now on.

  8. The more realistic the contest, the better able the martial artist can prove his techniques will work or won't work in a real situation.
  9. Musical forms are good if they have a good beat. The create good technique just as traditional kata but have a tendency to include unrealistic flashy techniques quite the opposite of traditional kata.
  10. Point fighting can create bad habits for the street but has some sporting benefits for building character.
