lol take a look at how quickly Jushin Thunder Liger was defeated, that must have been humiliating for him. Shows that he's only good inside the pro wrestling ring. -

point fighting
superfighter replied to Martial Law's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
for those of us who take a martial art and compete part in point fighting, if we were given the option to go full contact allot of us probably Would. So the fact that some of us are made to do point fighting does not make up wimps. -

whilst they may not learn to fight in wushu, it can't be all bad that to have hands that fast, surely that would be useful in a fight. You could get easily get knocked out with hands like that coming towards ya. -
the way i always saw it, Aikido relies on a strike 1st from the attacker so the deffender can counter with a grabbling move by using there own force against them, it never struck me as an art when you can just jump in and throw ur opponent down as in judo and put them in a lock, and therefore in my opinion its not as useful in MMA competiton, only my opinion, not sayin its the truth.

i become really aggressive right from the very start, and i love it

TKD bashing?
superfighter replied to NightShade_UK's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
people bash tae kwon do cus they watch it at the olympics and assume the art is all about kicking and loads of flashy crap that won't work in a fight, if only more people would realise that this is only only sport tae kwon do, and not true tae kwon do which also relies heavily on punching. -

i learn grappling, so thats why, and i prefer to see fights that include both grappling and striking. on the whole its just more realistic
-
i don't really like K-1 that much, becasue there is no grappling i don't think the fights are realistic enough
-
walk in to the lesson drunk with your suit on backwards that should get you demoted and possibly get you thrown out
-
i hear what your sayin, people ask me what would i do if they punched me, and i say well i'll block it and punch or kick you, and they say thats it? and you can't really show them that well because if you went full force they would be dead, whereas with a grappling art you can do a really cool arm lock ot takedown and everyone is well impressed and it also doesn't hurt anyone.
-
K-1 is just stand up fighting with no grappling allowed.
