  1. I was inspired by this thread to start a poll to see when everyone first started training in a martial art. Please vote in the poll and free feel to reply. Thanks.
  2. Here is the quiz. I'm Superman. Found via Jason Calacanis.
  3. Here is a link to their site that should help. http://www.senishow.com
  4. Congratulations Brian.
  5. What software do you use to backup data on your computer, if any? I'm using Acronis TrueImage right now.
  6. Hello, As you already have a thread for this subject, I am going to go ahead and close this one and send you over to the other. http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=29957 Thanks.
  7. What do you generally eat for breakfast? I find that I get into streaks where I eat the same thing for a long time and then... I eat something else for a long time. When I was younger, I swear I ate a peanut butter sandwich and chocolate milk every morning for like a year and a half. I'm on orange juice and two slices of bread with peanut butter now.
  8. I have New Years resolutions every week. I call them my to do list.
  9. My grandmother and grandfather are/were into it and have done some work. I got into it a little bit when I was younger, but haven't really paid any attention to it in a long time.
  10. Who was the manufacturer of your computer? My desktop that I spend most of my time on is an HP. I also have a laptop that I use on trips that is a Compaq.
  11. Thanks for the replies. Nice.
  12. What was the last concert that you went to? I've... never really been to any concerts.
  13. Don't worry, I am ineligable for all awards, anyway.
  14. Hello, KarateForums.com recognizes one member every month as the Member of the Month for their positive contributions to this community. The January 2007 selection is... NightOwl. Congratulations!
  15. No, it doesn't. It's not really fair to make a blanket statement like that. The "evil" that you describe, if you will, can be said of any profession that relies on sales in one way or another (which is probably most of them, even for salaried employees, since no sales means no job and no salary). It comes down to the individual. Some people will do the very best job that they can... and some won't. That's life. Just the way it is. Of course, the same goes for people who aren't paid, as well.
  16. Do you have any martial arts related memorabilia, artifacts, etc. that you are particularly proud of?
  17. What was your first real, paid job? I started designing websites for people in the fall of 1998. I don't know if I'd count that or not just because I didn't make that much. But, I suppose it counts. After that, I started creating and managing my own websites, in early 2000. Of course, I didn't make much there, either, for quite a while. But, one of those two would be it. The only time I've worked for someone else was when I tried to do tech support for a web host. I only did that a couple weeks, though, as I just didn't have the knowledge.
  18. Well, hey, if it does... me, too.
  19. Yeah, if it doesn't say on the box, you should just give your doctor a call or play it safe until you can get a hold of him/her.
