The problem is just as much perception as it is reality. If a student and teacher are dating, it doesn't matter if the teacher is being fair. Some will still feel there is bias, no matter what. I'm not saying it's fair, but it's life. That doesn't mean, of course, that you have to cater to those people, either. But, it can be bad for the school and can also be bad for business, if you're a for-profit school. Patrick

I'm a sports fan. Big Yankees and Dolphins fan. I'm a huge Diddy and Bad Boy Entertainment fan and collecting all of their music is a major hobby for me. CDs, cassettes, vinyl, digital audio, various memorabilia... tons of rare stuff. I love it. Investing, playing sports, video games, reading and watching TV (House, 24, The Simpsons, Family Guy). Don't get much time to do these things, unfortunately.

Having a good lawyer is the right idea. "Well, I'm the nice guy, so I decided I would hire a bad lawyer and that's why I lost..." doesn't fit. You should always get the best lawyer you can; and people shouldn't be vilified for hiring competent council.
