  1. Great post, Brian. And, to be fair (you sort of eluded to this), you can do the same thing to adults. It doesn't take much to find a video of an adult practicing martial arts in what you would consider "bad" and then one that you would consider "great." Patrick
  2. This is a great thread. Good replies algernon, Alex and JusticeZero. And thank you, Dark Planet. Patrick
  3. Have you been to a doctor yet, Geminias? That's a long time ago - you should really get it looked at, rather than dealing with the pain, which could lead to something worse down the road.
  4. Sorry to hear that. But, it sounds like you had fun, which is good. Patrick
  5. Welcome to KF, RenegadeRSA. Happy to have you as a member of our community. Patrick
  6. Good point. Patrick
  7. Was looking at this article http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1159241/1/index.htm via Digg and thought I'd ask who collected baseball (or any sport) cards here? I used to collect them a lot and love them to death... still have an affinity for them, but yeah, it's several years since I bought a pack... just a sign of the times. I guess. But, I still have all of my cards! Hehe.
  8. Welcome back, BDPulver. Good to see you. Best of luck finding somewhere to rent. Patrick
  9. Pretty amazing video. Via Digg via VideoSift.
  10. Feel bad for Zach. He's a good guy.
  11. Hey Joe, Interesting topic, thanks for starting it. Yeah, I agree, that's cool. I find it neat to see marketing integrations like this. At the end of the day, it's not so much about who did it first as it's just a good idea. You can go even farther back than that to Michael Jackson reworking "Billie Jean" for Pepsi (and I'm sure someone probably did it before that!) In some cases, I bet it's for radio promo, too, where the artist will record the DJ's name in the song, etc. They record a bunch of DJs at once. They typically just do radio "drops," which are the artist introductions you hear where it's like "this is Miley Cyrus and you're listening to..." but this sort of thing is a little more interesting. 19. I like this poll because it illustrates that all ages are pretty evenly represented here. This makes for a nice mix.
  20. It's more of a test of watching TV and talking on the phone. Patrick

  23. I actually don't know about that test and it's applicability to actual driving. The object of driving isn't so much to count numbers as it is to be aware of your surroundings. I don't really count knowing what people are wearing and assigning them points based on their color as being aware - actually, I think it might be the opposite. If you spent all day counting people or focusing on what they were wearing and simply starring straight ahead, you'd miss what was going to to your left, right and behind you, which is just as important.
