Thank you so much for the replies, Bob, George, Cliff, Danielle, Jeffrey, Heidi, Brian, tonydee, John, sperki and Blade96. I really appreciate it and the kind words mean a great deal to me. Thank you. I'm very sorry for the delay in responding. The last few weeks have been very crazy (lots of travel and planning for speaking engagements). LOL, Brian. I'm sure you'll get there. sperki, I have more posts here than I have at any of the other communities that I manage. It's not particularly close. This is also the biggest community of the bunch, by number of contributions, by far. Thanks again all. It was really nice to return after an absence and read the replies made here. Sincerely, Patrick

Thanks Bob. Been a minute since I was in this thread. That second loss was ugly (very, very ugly in the fourth quarter). But, the win against the Packers hopefully has us back on track. Marshall is putting up monster numbers (on track for 118 catches and 1,494 yards... doubt he can stay on that pace) and the running game was very good against Green Bay. Honestly, I am at the same place I was when we started the season. Very cautiously optimistic. With the way we've played, I wouldn't be surprised if we finished with a losing record. I also wouldn't be surprised if we finished with a winning one. Just feels like one of those borderline teams. Hopefully I'm wrong. Patrick

Cool, how do you like it? Shame it doesn't have some form of offline co-op. Patrick

Hey all, Thank you for visiting KarateForums.com. This post is the 20,000th post that I've made here. This is pretty remarkable to me, that I would not only be a part of a community long enough to reach 20,000 posts, but also that I would manage one long enough to do so. I'm getting old. In May of next year, we'll celebrate 10 years of KarateForums.com (if you have any ideas for how we should do that, please shoot them my way ), and it is amazing how much time has passed, how many special memories have been made in this time, how many friendships have been made and how much has been accomplished, not just here, but elsewhere, in my life and in yours (however long you've been here). And though we may not have many members from the first year or two still around, which is natural for an online community that has been around this long, we certainly have a good mix of people who have been around the block with us, right alongside those that are brand new. Regardless of which camp you fall into, I'd like to thank you for allowing me to reach 20,000 posts. It's a testament to the community, it's longevity and the number of solid contributions here that I was able to make it to that number. Post count, in and of itself, is not the most important thing. But, to reach a number like this, it takes more than just me, it takes a community. Thank you. Sincerely, Patrick

I found this pretty funny. Who remembers the "Haunted House" game for the Atari 2600? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunted_House_%28video_game%29 I read in the latest issue of Nintendo Power that Atari is working on a remake of it for the Wii. Some details: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/07/14/ataris-haunted-house-returns-to-haunt-pc-xbox-360-and-wii/ On Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Haunted-House-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B003V63V1A

I probably have to give that to Tampa Bay. At any rate, the Dolphins lost last night. It was a close one. The offense looked better. We ran the ball OK, Henne looked generally good. We just couldn't punch it in at the end. The Chiefs won handily over the 49ers to advance to 3-0. Congrats Brian.

2-0 Dolphins, 2-0 Chiefs... who knew. Congrats. For us, it is the first time since 2002. Pretty much the same deal with us. The defense against the Vikings was insanely great. Yeah, they allowed 364 total yards and 156 rushing yards, but that doesn't even tell the story. The defense scored one touchdown and on the one touchdown they allowed, Ricky Williams fumbled at like the 1 yard line to give the Vikings the ball a yard or two away from the end zone. That's when the momentum shifted to the Vikings and while the defense bended, they never broke. Outside of that TD, they held them to: turnover on downs, punt, interception, fumble, interception, field goal, fumble, turnover on downs and turnover on downs. 4 and 1 in the 4th quarter, up from 4 points, they stuffed Adrian Peterson. And on the field goal drive, the Vikings went for it on 4th and (3) inches and the Dolphins stopped them (from the replay), but the Vikings got a real good spot and got the 1st down. That was the only time they converted on fourth down and were 0 for 3 beyond that. But, then on the other side, nothing really happening. If not for the fumbles, I would say we had a good rushing day (120 yards, 4.1 average). But, the two fumbles were killer, killer and almost cost us the game. And Henne is either getting real conservative play calling or is just not taking many shots. The one time he did take a shot, he completed a 51 yard pass to Marshall, who has looked great. Hopefully, with a little more experience, he'll get to make some more throws. He was only 9-for 15 and, again, really conservative except for that one. Cautiously and quietly optimistic... Patrick

I actually missed our first game, being away at a conference. My brother told me it wasn't exactly pretty, but a win is a win and it's good to be 1-0. Congrats on the Chiefs victory, Brian. Patrick

Heh. I think that definitely could work in the U.S. Just would have to be convincing enough and in the right spot.
