Hello, Welcome to the voting period of the ninth annual KarateForums.com Awards. Through these awards, we recognize just a few of the individuals who have made outstanding contributions to KarateForums.com in the past year. These awards take into consideration all community activity between October 19, 2009 and October 18, 2010. You submitted your nominations and, from those, we have our KarateForums.com Awards 2010 nominees. In all, 13 different members have been nominated in the various categories that make up this year's awards. They are ps1, joesteph, Kuma, isshinryu5toforever, sensei8, evergrey, GeoGiant, bushido_man96, tallgeese, DWx, JiuJitsuNation, Jeffrey and NightOwl. Congratulations to all of you! With the ballots crafted, it is now time to vote. In order to do so, you must have a KarateForums.com account that had at least 10 posts made on or before October 18, 2010 (Eastern Time). There is just one guideline to keep in mind when voting: 1. Do not attempt to artificially inflate our vote totals in any way. This includes but is not limited to trading votes, encouraging people to vote indiscriminately (publicly or privately), mass mailing/posting and any other behavior that could lead to results being artificially skewed. Hello, Thank you for visiting KarateForums.com. In processing the nominations, I have realized that there has been an error. Alex (tallgeese)'s Focus Mitt Training for Multiple Skill Development is a duplicate of an article we already published earlier, titled Focus Mitt Training for the Multi-Disciplined Fighter. The original article was published outside of the time frame from which an article can be nominated, so it is not eligible. This was my error and I apologize for the confusion. Just so that we get this process absolutely right, I am going to reach out to the members who nominated that article and ask them to provide me with an alternate nomination within 48 hours. Yeah, that is craziness. Maybe someone should start a college football thread, as well. Bob, I think that he could have. You never know. For us, it was worth a shot because we're a borderline team. If you have a good contending team that is tight, maybe it's not worth a try. I listened to the Dolphins game on the radio (I lucked out) as I drove home from a conference in Raleigh on Sunday. Was happy with the result - we'll see what happens now. Pennington is out for the season, Henne isn't starting and it's Tyler Thigpen, who Brian is familiar with.
