Hey all, thanks for the tips. The main thing im confused about is that, im in college...(yes in college and still live at home), and i've takin karate last year and I was in college then, a crappy college, and now im at a better college that was payed for and I have more money now and he wont let me go? Im gonna talk to him and see if I can go maybe 1 or 2 days a week to keep my skills toned. Also I went to my old instructors new school to check it out and it was endurance day and I got real tired real fast.

Ti does have a point if you look into the matter more. She is a black belt....soinds like she doesnt deserve it though. The black belts I knew at my school respected us lower ranks and let us at least sit out or get water. But they can get power hungery. Like one time I had to spare one of our best black belts right after he spared this brown belt and lost cuz he was goofin off. Then he was p'od and took it out on me in our match....oh yea, I was a orange belt at the time. The quickest 5 point match this side of the mississippi ever!

I was taking Karate for a year and had to drop out...transportation reasons. Well, I found a dojo that teaches aikido and judo and jyodo close to home and I got a new car so I started going there. Well, before I signed up, my dad gave me the crappy news saying, "as long as you live here I think schooling should come first and I dont want you taking a MA now". I was very disapointed especally when I found out that my old karate instructor opened his own karate/kung fu/juijitsu school and wants my to attend there. Now, I didnt pay for my school, my real dad had a college fund to pay for it. So, what should I say to my step dad to have him change his mind about me taking a MA and go to school. Also, do you have any tips to keep me well practiced? Thanks for the time.

Joe average...hilarious. Anyways, whats the persent number of fights that end up on the ground...like 80 or something? I havent taking wrestling or judo or jujitsu, but I would love to. Even if your a great puncher or kicker, there will be folk out there who are able to take a punch or kick and then there gonna grab you....im just saying that in some cases if you dont know how to grapple or throw....you may be screwed

I think its cool if they can be so good to get that much credit. But I also think there are many out there that deserve credit like that...but then again, its up to them

My guess is is that this is for LAZY people who what to sound cool and scare their neighbors by saying...."yo, im a black belt. I spent 4,000 in traning and yea....im cool". Just take a real class from a real dojo, and get the real experince. Sheese

There was this one at my school I had my eye on. I was thinking about it but someone else came along. Im not intimadated by females who are better than me. I dont worry about that. All that matters is is who the person really is.

Tekken tag, tekken 4 and capcom vs. snk are super rad. But as for following MA's and learning from the games.....I dunno. You can get a small idea from them but thats about it. And if anyone learns how to do a lightning uppercut, please inform me.

I think its good for them to do MA's. So yea, i would. But whats scary is female bodybuilders that are bigger than most of us guys.

Im kinda leaning in Bluedragon and boxerscotts direction with there smacks. I would like to smack this REALLY freakin annoying guy we have on a commershal(i cant speel) out here in Oklahoma. Hes fat and sweaty and talks fast and moves his hands when he talks and his chins shake and its gross. I REALLY REALLY want to smack the all-american rejects. They give oklahoma bands a bad name. I go to National "rip you off" Karate where its $100 for the pay by month plan, $90 for a month every month for a year, and the 3 year plan is like 70 or something. Then they charge you for each test crazy amounts but I guess they have to. Im going to start taking shao-lin/wing chung king fu soon and thats gonna be 50 a month.

As for your situation about this "friend" who slaps people, someone needs to put him in his place. Ive had a friend or to who think there "all that and a bag of potato chips" and like to pick on people so when they mess with me I just ignore it to a certain degree and if it doesnt stop, i show them how easily I can kick them in the head with out them being able to stop it. But yea, if it doesnt stop, action might have to be taken.
