A truly amazing story. Thank you for sharing this, your youngest certainly does have the spirit of a martial artist. Congratulations are in order, I imagine you are immensely proud. -

Is body hardening a lost practice?
Titanium replied to Spartacus Maximus's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Not at all, it worked for Buddhist Monks for centuries; its not as common nowadays unfortunately. -

Nothing will stop me...even if I couldn't walk. I am doing PT, trying to work the metal bones in. Told me minimum of 1 year before training.

Hey guys, thanks for your messages. Worst pain I've ever experienced. JR, ansitonium I believe - it has a 300 year life span, it'll see me out. It was over Tibet, China - major engine failure we believe. Dwx and bushido I appreciate your posts. Patrick thanks, I've got some catching up to do. No training for me in a whilse so I will simply be helping in the dojo etc.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Hi guys, Some of you may remember me. I haven't been active for about 7 weeks as I have been involved in an aviation accident above Tibet. I have been badly injured shattering both my left leg and right arm and snapping my shoulder in two. I have now has numerous experimental metal bones fused in my body and luckily can walk and write again - very sore though. Just wanted to let you all know I'm back and looking forward to participation again. A not too tough Titanium.

A big well done. -
Anyone can throw a punch or kick, but without the Budo and technique, the move is pointless. If I punch without knowledge or etiquette it is ineffective. If I punch with detailed knowledge of the art of punching, this is a formidable thing.

What is a Master?
Titanium replied to stonecrusher69's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
I am a master... Seriously; it is skill, age and contributions which form a master. -

It certainly does my friend. -
That's pretty good, I will look into that.

During summer our Sensei allows us to wear a t-shirt, however I prefer to wear my Gi top. I think it looks a little unprofessional when karatekas do not wear the full gi.
-
My friend, I would consider trying a session; I know what you are saying about you being tired, however I don't think you can truly get the feeling unless you get stuck-in.

Questionable instructor ranks
Titanium replied to Ronin72's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
This is a very good question...I think that the Sensei should have to show an skill set that they are still capable of the position that they are in. I can, on the other hand, understand why the senior ranks promote Dan grades with contributions to the art.
