  1. How about: Spiked mace attachment - Mashlight Blade attachment - Slashlight Chain whip attachment - Thrashlight Sharpened spoon attachment - Gashlight Of these four i see the spiked mace attachment being the most useful.

  5. awesome stuff, you know you are watching too high level guys when you never see one guy tighten down. Not even a facial expression, they are totally relaxed and have a unbelievable calmness about them. Not to mention the precision of their movements and placements. Marcelo Garcia is an absolute pleasure to watch move on the mat.
  6. I like the idea of making the end cap to the smashlight the bludgeoning implement itself. On the same topic, i agree that we need to get some exact specs from tallgeese. We also eventually need to look into a possible "LOBO" attachemtent. Maybe a spike or small hatchet attached to the end for the need of a quick brain shot.
  7. LP, next time you make it back to the JC, we need to schedule a test for a prototype. What do you think we could obtain that is going to have the same strength as a human skull. Let us know before you come down and we can procure a test sight and the testing materials. Lets try to keep this scientific. By scientific i mean that there should not be anything on fire afterwards.
  8. 7/13 Breakfalls, angle drills, footwork drills with new student. 40 min freesparring with light to moderate contact with the rest of the group.
  9. Since this thread has been completely hijacked anyway, how does looking like a military dictator who also looks like a member of village people help in the development of the single most important development in flashlight combat? (I.E. the smashlight)
  10. The Light of Truth??
  11. If you are looking to mass produce some, i would also like a BLUDGEON-LIGHT. I should get the trademarked.
  12. 7/12 Rolls, Breakfalls, Angle Drills 45 min freeroll
  13. What is this bill trying to accomplish? I am shocked and appalled by such a blatant misunderstanding of what certain martial arts are about. I guess i shouldn't be suprised.
  14. In the health, training and fitness thread it was mentioned by Masterpain that we sparred by drawing styles. These styles may include various types of martial arts or general fighting strategies. For example, in the bucket which we drew from there were strategies such as ground and pound wrestler, counter-puncher, grappler, sprawl and brawl and clinch fighter. There were also different styles of martial arts for example, karate, muay thai, Boxing, MMA and even Sumo. We also threw in some wild cards such as "that monkey guy from bloodsport" Windmilling drunk guy, 1800's boxer, "that guy from a bad amatuer mma fight that goes for a guillotine no matter what position he is in and eventually burns his arms out and gets pummeled". All and all it is a fun activity to break up the grind that can be training. Also it gets you comfortable fighting unorthodox styles, or even drunk morons. Also it makes you fight in a style that you may not be comfortable with. Any ideas on how this tool could be modified or changed????
  15. We will have to bring the Bujin clan up to visit you classes sometime, sounds like you moving up in the world.
  16. Nerdy combat was very interesting, very good for the inexperienced guys to learn how to get hit. As far as drawing styles, that was a great activity to break up the occasional boredom that comes with training. Tallgeese, enjoy the fishing trip, sounds like a blast.
  17. Maybe he doesn't know how it works because is just a myth, like KI power, ko pressure points, and so on. I thought that in 2011 this nonsense had already stopped. Agreed. I have had the pleasure of being able to work with a certified kyusho-Jutsu instructor under George Dillman. He is incredibly adept at focusing of pressure points while fighting and grappling. I agree that these skills are incredibly useful in self defense. However, the part of Dillman's system in which people are being "taught" to knock people unconsious with there Ki, to me in preposterous. Maybe i will believe it if someone could knock me out with it, but until then i will remain a skeptic. I will however have to disagree with you about the existence of KO pressure points. There are structurally weak areas of the body which if struck in succession will immobalize and attacker, maybe not knock them unconcsious, but immobalize them. For example, watch some mma fights that end in a knockout. With most of them you will see strikes to two specific points, Stomach 5(on the jaw strait down from the corner of the mouth) or Gall Bladder 20(the knot of the skull about an inch behind the ear.)
  18. 7/6 30 min boxing, light to moderate contact. Focused mainly of working a back hand parry. 45 min freeroll.
  19. 7/5 Heavy bag work Clinch striking and grappling 30 min freeroll
  20. You work in a jail, so the law, unless you seriously violate your position, is on your side. That makes a huge difference. Especially around here, where people favor law enforcement and consider you guilty until proven innocent. My county doesn't understand burden of proof. At least that's my understanding as foreman of a jury in an assault charge. There is a young woman with a clean record because I convinced eleven people that being charged does not make you guilty. The ignorance of the people who will judge you is the best reason to avoid a fight. In fact, it would seem that human beings are generally ignorant, panicky(sp?), superstitious, and sheepish. If human beings were all resonable, responsible, and logical there would be a much diminished need for martial arts.
  21. 7/3 Boxing drills 45 minutes boxing sparring 30 min freeroll
  22. Golf, i actually was obsessed with golf long before i got into martial arts. I also play far to much black ops.
  23. Anything from Wally Jay is a great resource, anything concerning Aiki-jiu jitsu would also be a good resource concerning wristlocks, George Dillman would be another good resource.
  24. 2/29 Angle drills 5rounds boxing 5rounds muay thai Taught wristlocks and combative concepts to new guy.
