Congrats. You deserve the recognition. -
Congrats, let's go for two. And your're right Sensei Rick. Patrick doesn't give away anything here. You earn it! Like it should be.

We do some sparring drills that everyone seems to like pretty well. Take turns making one person an attacker and the other person can only defend, no countering or striking back. You can switch it around to where the attacker can only use hands or feet. For the more advanced you can make the defender put one hand in the back of thier obi and defend with only one hand. This will help with their focus as well as speed. Switch it up and make it fun. Lots of different combos you can do. Hope this helps.

KarateForums.com is 4 and 1/2 Years Old
gheinisch replied to Patrick's topic in KarateForums.com Announcements
A Great 4 1/2 years. Keep up the good work. -
In the first show they met each other at the airport when they were having a drink. They had a short conversation exchanging sit numbers before getting on the flight. That's the only contact they had before the crash. I guess Jack was surprised to hear her name since her seat number would have put her in the back of the plane. I guess they both thought the other had died in the crash. Maybe Jack can talk some sense into her. Ana definitely has some issues.

Hope everyone had a great one and didn't eat too much. I know I did.

That was a great episode. No wonder the tallies have trust issues, with Goodwin and all. Poor Nathan got thrown into the pit for nothing. Looks like the "Others" found out that Mr. Ecko isn't one too fool around with. I'm still not convinced that Ana shot Shannon even though everything points to that. We'll see with time I guess. Sayid got the laser death eyes pointed at Ana. She better watch her back. Can't wait till the next show. Hey, that's tomorrow!

Who is your "mentor" in MA??
gheinisch replied to karatekid1975's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I have to give credit to my very first and most important mentor and that would be my Father. He didn't teach me a thing about the Martial Arts but he did teach me how to be successful and have the drive to accomplish what I set my mind too. He would always tell me and my brothers, "that no matter what you do in life, weather it's digging a ditch or designing a building to do it to the best of your ability, never go home feeling guilty of the job you've done that day. " Good advice, and advice that I live by today. Going on five years of never missing a day at work, even though there were plenty of days I didn't feel all that great. Secondly it would have to be my current Martial Arts instructor. He has been training in the Martial Arts for over forty years and has freely given his time over the past six years to train myself and others in the Art that he truly loves. At no charge I might add. I recently achieved rank of Shodan after almost six years of training. He thought I wouldn't make it as far as I have but I was persistent. Thank my Dad again for that one. I started at the age of 34 and was not in the best of shape but through determination and hard work I've achieved a lot. Our instructor is a great teacher and an even better person. There are some people who can teach but aren't great Martial Artist and there are those who are great Martial Artist but have a hard time conveying that information to someone else. Hanshi is both! He reminds us that we are family and if anyone ever needs anything all they have to do is ask. We'll never be able to repay him for what he's given us. Knowledge!! I feel blessed to have him as a mentor. I guess those are the two people who have had the greatest impact on my life. -
Welcome Jack, I started when I was 34 so you got me beat.

Not sure who will be lost forever. There's been a lot of debate about that. I think you may be right about the whispers. Some people who way more time then me have enhanced the whispers and say they it appears to be a conversation between people. i.e "should we take them", "no not yet", Do you think they have seen us". Have you noticed that everything that Walt says is backwards. They have also turned that around so you can understand what he says. The last thing he said was "they are coming, they are close". Have you checked out https://www.hansofoundation.org ? If you click on projects and then click on the Life Extension link a memo will come up talking about the foundations success with this project. If you click on the last sentence of the memo a field will come up. Type in Copenhagen and another memo will come up from the Global Health Org. or something like that telling Hanso that what they are doing is dangerous and they need to stop their research immediately on the island of Zanzibar. There was a SciFi book written called "Stand on Zanzibar". Hmmmm. very interesting.

OK, it looks like Shannon bought the big one. Ana nailed her center mass. That darn police training. And what's with Walt popping up all over the place? And how can Cindy just disappear right out from under their noses. I think the "Others" may have some Ninja skills.
