i am not doing a martial art yet but would like to begin in the next weeks. though i am not even sure WHAT to begin, i think some more cardio could not be wrong. is there anything apart from jogging or push ups that help me prepare for bringing something into the first lesson cannot be wrong.

thank u in advance.

Jogging/running is probably the most straightforward option, yes. I've found it to be the most effective for fast improvement in myself, and boy I hate it. :) You could also get a jump rope, do stuff like jumping jacks and star jumps, swim laps, get on a bike, take a cardio class at a health club, play racquetball or tennis or soccer or _____...there are always other options if you look for them!

I would set up at Circuit Station

have like 10 stations

1 sit ups

2 push ups

3 jumping jacks

ETC

so u are getting your muscles ready to train and also u work on ya Cardio as well.

don't worry about it. you will see what you need to do when you start. you can run though. especially distance.
