Looneyas
I seem to have a extremely powerful back kick, I feel i have a issue with accuracy. 5/10 Kicks land, I think its due to my spotting the target. What idea's do other MA have in training for accuracy in Back-Kicks. kchenault
Definately turn your head and find the target first. Practice this in steps to begin with and gradually increase your speed to match your improvement. Also make sure you kick your leg straight back and not to the side. Use a stationary target, like a B.o.B. unit for practice as well. Pilsung! Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!

Pilsung! excellent advice, the biggest mistake made when performing this kick is being 3/4 of the way into the kick before actually seeing the target. Red J
Try to work on a bag and turn your head. Do the technique at 50% speed until you hit the target every time. Increase your speed until you are proficient. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Looneyas
Thank you all for the advice, My kick is correct as in style straight leg, no small hook. Just the accuracy As i was looking and using my heel as the target finder, I will be praticing looking then the kick and this is what i need to work on. Thank you all. gheinisch
Nothing much to add that hasn't already been said other then when you turn and spot your target imagine striking the center mass of the target. The two inch center of the body, that will be most effective. Good Luck! Tombstone
I'm glad someone mentioned BOB. IMO, thats one of the best focus bags i've ever seen. (except their too soft).
kchenault
Yeah, but it feels pretty realistic to me. It caves when it should and stays put when it should. Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
