Should I increase or keep the rest/recovery days?Been doing the Ginjaninjatricker basic stretching program off Youtube. plus a few other bits and pieces. Nidan Melbourne Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 In relation to stretching are you doing them dynamically or static? Stretching should be a daily thing and not only twice a week. For rest/recovery days you currently are doing it just as much as you are active. On average you should have 2 recovery days per week. so the other days are to be active days, but the other two should still be light activity.

yamesu Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I agree with the sentiment of stretching daily.It does not need to be full on stretching sessions, but keeping loose and maintaining flexibility is key for mobility and to ensure that no injuries occur when throwing high kicks or contorting during grappling/throwing. "We did not inherit this earth from our parents. We are borrowing it from our children."
