To ill to train!

Featured Replies

:( Hi guys im having a moan again. Last week 8 days ago i came down with a dreadful cold, that put me on the sofa. I had to take two weeks off college and four sessions off karate!

But it seems as though i may need more time to recover. Recently i have noticed i can't bend down without getting awful pain in the back of my head, eyes and nose. It's getting the point that i cant even get up out of a chair without the pain. I can't cough or sneeze or sniffle without it coming. I am also bringing up bright green phlem eewww :o

I feel horrible! So anyway i am going to see my gp today at the emergency doctors because i have been told i may have sinusitus brought on by the cold i had. I hate being ill, i sat a history exam the other day and did really rubbish because i couldn't concentrate and now it looks like i will have to take next week off karate too!

Poor you! I know what it's like to be out of training. Due to moving for university I haven't been able to formally train since July! I think I'm going crazy!

I hope you feel better!

External training without the training of the mind is nothing

Wow that sucks. Must be real fustrating. I hope you get well soon.

Cheers guys. Well it turns out i do have sinusitus but the doc said they don't treat it, we just have to let it run its course! :( I wasn't very impressed because the doctors surgery is miles from where i live and i had to go on the bus even though i was feeling so lousy....only to be told to take paracetamol! :kaioken: They could have told me this over the phone rather than asking me to go in.

Yeah, but advice over the phone doesn't pay the bills! :( I hate getting the "clinical" treatment, which goes something like this:

"Oh, your sick?"

"Yes"

"Well, take this antibiotic and that'll clear everything up. Next, please!" :x

I feel ya- I was out all this week first due to pulling my quads- followed by my tonsils getting infected....dark times :(

Have been told that if "its" bright green then the only way it can be treated is by anti-biotics. I've had this in the past and I insisted that my doctor did something to get rid of it!

If all else fails you need a good decongestant like Sudafed.

Hope it clears up quickly!

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

I know what you mean about the doctors - I waited 2 hrs earlier today (despite having an appointment) because the dr was overrunning, only to be told I was fine and they don't need to see me!!! Now that they they could have told me over the phone!
