warm up : 5 min

Steady build up no rush, just focus on the task at hand the rest will come naturally, and as always enjoy!

30 min free roll. 1 round of takedown.

Started @ 19.30 Class no2

Finished @ 22.30 Class no3. (officially 20.30 till 22.00)

(Class 1 is for the juniors 18.30 till 19.30)

You'll be amazed at how quickly 50 or 100 punches or kicks can be be done when the count and rhythm are working well! :wink:

1/25-Kata practice(one hour) self defense (one hour). Plyometrics and squats.

1/26- 5K interval run and stretching followed by upper body weight training.

The past is no more; the future is yet to come. Nothing exist except for the here and now. Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what's clearly is clearly at hand...Lets continue to train!

Taught TKD: 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Its a testing week, so I hit basics hard, got some good forms work in, covered one-steps to make sure there were no questions there, and then for sparring, I did several rounds of one-technique back and forth, then 2-technique, then 3-technique, and ended with a round of testing sparring.

29/1/14 Karate 7-8 pm

7 min High Intensity Training

- 50 bilateral slides from shiko dachi, bilateral movement to touch ground with increasing speed

- 50 push ups (full)

- 50 mae geri (with partner) full force

- 50 sit ups + high five (with partner)

- 200 uchi's to side (with both arms going at once)

- push against partners legs (whilst they push against yours), whilst sitting on ground.

- 50 roundhouse kicks to body

- as many full force punches to stomach as possible within' a given time (with a partner)

NO BREAKS in between each section. you go one after the other

2 rounds of kumite

- 4 awase kumite (it is soft and slow, to be able to see openings in your opponent and you get used to being hit a lot), thigh kicks allowed

- 4 minutes point sparring

- 9 minutes light sparring (throws, takedowns, thigh kicks, groin kicks etc are all allowed)

It hurt like crazy.
