  1. I normally don't wear a shirt under my gi, if I did however it would have to be white school rule.
  2. I'm currently reading this book for the second time. I love it. I'm just getting to the chapter "Chinese Hand to Empty Hand" I'd like to read it again sometime
  3. Wig's always work well in a case such as that. Me Personally I'm a bit of a Ryu guy, however I'd hppliy take Ken also since they are my two favorite characters.
  4. Haha but who would Dress as Ken, when you could wear a White one and be Ryu? Honestly?!!?
  5. Exactly, we all knew they were going to do it though, It would have been more impressive if they would of just treated like the other episodes and let the art itself do the talking... However the fights at the end where interesting to watch.
  6. Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy it here.
  7. I missed it as well, however DVR is my new best friend.. which is funny because I only watch like maybe 8 tv programs on and off, I'm not fond of TV...
  8. i just died laughing, and now my fellow martial artist towards the sun we look... I do have to admit some colored gi's do look cool, but not for any spiritual martial arts sense, I probably wouldn't wear on during actual training except for like a blue during judo sparing/competitions and what have you... (no if i only did judo ). However, I would wear a red one if i was you know.. dressing as Ken Masters for Halloween..
  9. Hey welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy your time here.
  10. Fridays episode was MMA, they did a goo d job of making look like it was toughest strongest most insane thing ever to exist, it was still a over all good episode though.
  11. Wow that is a very stupid rule IMO, kind takes away the realism of the the whole thing or I think it would.
  12. I'm quite partial to my white gi, though I do like the blue ones for judo. Hey at least the flashy guys give us something to scratch our heads at while we stare at the pretty colors.
  13. Wow, I feel humbled , I gotta say I wasn't expecting that. Thanks Patrick
  14. Bravo! Sounds like you enjoy yourself to say the least
  15. Right now I work at Burger King :'( , Gotta love being a teenager... Anyways I don't know what i want to do yet i have a few things in mind from Recording Engineering to Broadcasting to professional ho-bo musician.... However if my love and interest for martial arts keeps growing at the rate it currently is I honestly wouldn't mind or hell even love to be able to teach once im skilled enough. which is still years away
  16. Just a little bit, I still have trouble with it though.. My one friend I told you guys about that is obsessed with these things went crazy because another kid brought in a a old like octagon shaped one he found for him to try, needless to say he did it in a few mins...
  17. heh, never mind i solved it again tonight.
  18. I've given up on mine. Got the top two layers done then screwed it up so its now lying in the corner of my bedroom where I threw it Haha mines laying on my desk, I tried to do it again and I've been stuck since my last post I haven't been able to solve it since I get the first side solved and then the next two layers, and the upper cross, after that all thats left is the upper sides, but for some reason I cant get them right at all anymore... I had the magic for a few short moments and then lost it.
  19. Good job man, and Congrats!
  20. Good luck, That's some really impressive stuff you'll have to do. I'm sure you'll do well, and if how helpful/knowledgeable you are on this forum has any indication of how dedicated you are in real life, I'm sure you'll do just fine.
  21. I've still been training but I haven't been keeping my log and I haven't done as much to much work the last week or so, had work tonight but last night i had a extra lesson in the kids class and went for a run did 2 miles, and on the second mile a friend timed it and i clocked in at about 7 mins on the second mile.
  22. Well the best way would always be to avoid the fight one way or another, whether its trying to talk your way out, or finding a way out before its to late I.e. head another direction or run, but if those options where not available before they were up and close to you where they are a threat then personally the only way to answer that would to be to feel out the "attackers" how many of them are there? What do they want? If only one how big is he? Does he look like a major threat? If more are they all major threats? Do you stand any chance of getting out unhurt with out fighting? If you make a dash do you have enough energy to last more than a few feet? One you "ask" these questions to yourself and feel out the situation in your head, the answer is a lot easier and natural to make, a fun game to play is place yourself in the alley in your mind and then run through a number of different ways and what would be the wisest and most instinctive course of action for each one.
  23. So I solved Rubik's cube for my first time today, it took me a while and my friend had to tell me what step i was on one or twice, and i had to go back and fix it, but none the less i finally solved one of the things.
  24. I'd stick with like some simple fruits (apples, Banana's, grapes, etc) and yogurt cups. Maybe if those went over well you could consider some other healthy snacks like Whole grains in the form of pretzel's of little packs of gram crackers (you can NEVER go wrong with chocolate gram crackers.). Yo could also consider packages of peanuts and sunflower seeds, or some dairy int he form of cheese sticks.. and by those I don't mean the greasy baked kind you order with pizza, something more like this. http://www.horizonorganic.com/products/cheese/sticks/index.html This are rater simple ideas many of which have already been listed, or you've probably already thought of, but I figured I'd throw them out in case you overlooked any of them or wanted more imput.
  25. Welcome, I hope you enjoy your time on the forum.
