judo
KNOCKuOUT replied to french fri25's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
I agree 100%with rainbow warrior. What made Bruce Lee so great was that he wasn't afraid to combine any styles together. His goal was to in fact do this, to have a flawless game, so that his fighting system incorporated pieces of all other fighting systems. -
Mix Three Styles
KNOCKuOUT replied to Aces Red's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
I think I would mix brazilian jiu jitsu, american kenpo karate, and judo. I would call it kenjiu karate-do. My system would offer the fast, rapid strikes of the self defense of kenpo, along with devastating throws from judo and the amazing ground work of bjj. -

I think I'm going to join his school. He said there are a couple of tournaments his school goes to so maybe that's why he got his black belt in that time. Anyway, I am interested in training in judo so I will try his school our for a while. -
Why do you do martial arts?
KNOCKuOUT replied to Sir Gerbil's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I don't live in a dangerous neighborhood or anything, but it's nice to know i can defend myself and my family if need be, even in the future when I start my own family. That and it is fun..lol.. -

Chuck Liddell's Right Hand

I love Chuck Liddell. He's a beast, but his form is a little sloppy. -
I pay $150 a month for up to 4 classes a week and I get an extra class in bjj, so I'm basically getting ranked in 2 arts for the $150. No test fees ever.

I was wondering if someone could who studies judo could answer this for me. How long on average does one have to train to get a black belt in judo? I know everybody here on the forums hates questions like these but I was just curious. I know someone who said they got their judo black belt in five years training only once a week for an hour and a half. Is this possible?

What Martial Arts Have You Studied
KNOCKuOUT replied to Takusankage Soke's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Studied shokokai karate for about 1 & 1/2 years when I was younger. Now, kenpo for 8 months and brazilian jiu jitsu for about a month or two. -
Kick with the instep only to the groin area. Anywhere else and damage could be done to he foot. For all other kicks anywhere else. I use the shin.
