  2. I have a varied taste in music. I like everything from Southern Rock, Heavy Metal, Punk/Goth, and Classical. In fact the only type of music I don't like is modern day chart music _________________ Warmest Regards Darryl Garrick (aka Goose) This Message was edited by: Goose on Jul 15, 2001 1:35am This Message was edited by: Goose on Jul 15, 2001 1:36am
  3. Hi Guys, Firstly, thanks to everyone for the warm greeting, and making me feel welcome I'm 32 y/o and I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. I have a 9 Kyu in Shotokan Karate, and I'm now studying Okinawan Kobudo under the watchful eye of Sensei Tobias and his father Jim Reece. I have tried other martial arts, such as WTF Taekwondo (which I enjoyed immensely, but had to give up due to injury), Tang Soo Do, and Wing Chun. But now feel that I have found the ideal art(s) that I wish to learn. I'm very open minded, and I hate politics within martial arts. As I always say, "A martial art is as good, as the person who uses it." Another thing that I can't stand is martial artists (and other people) with big egos. Other than that, I'm a fairly nice guy _________________ Warmest Regards Darryl Garrick (aka Goose) This Message was edited by: Goose on Jul 15, 2001 12:17am
  4. I actually studied Wing Chun (among other styles) for a couple of months, before taking up Shotokan. I found it very difficult to grasp, as the techniques are rather 'soft' and flexible (for want of better words). It differs alot from such style like Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do etc which tend to be in the same genre (or there abouts). Check this site out for more information: http://www.wingchunkuen.com
