  1. well this one is a hard one. i would advise to build up your strenghth. because 3 guys in 2 minutes if you use speed to stay out of there way then it will tire you out quickly. It would also be a good thing to train on your reflexes.
  2. I didnt start till i was 14, but here is an interesting fact. bruce lee didnt start martial arts till he was 14 also. he just trained all the time. He literally never took a break. Thats the reason i thik he quit his pholosophy courses
  3. I would have hurt them, and hurt them bad, because when it comes to family i dont fool around, but the boyfriend should have did something even though he was skinny that is no excuse.
  4. well it would be good if you wanted to build up your stamina and leg muscles, but if you wanted to take him down quick no, because all has to do is hit you harde enough to nock you down if your not bonuncing then you can stay on the floor better.
  5. I agree and you should never foght with an open hand, except for like in the chest and stomach, but not in the face. A slap may hurt more, but a fist will do more damage, instead of a sharp pain on your cheek a broken jaw that will remind him not to mess with you.
  6. Well the katas are not there for you to perform step by step but a guide line of what to do. it teaches you the correct way to move your footing. But i do agree that the whole kata is never used except for in movies. Ex: Just take the first elementry kata in shotokan karate(takeokoshodon) you move your foot out into a right front stance, if you knee is not bent then if someone kicks you there then it will possibly break your legs. A full kata i agree is usless in a fight but you should still train with them. its like on that tv show final fu. that one guy was using all this fancey moves and monkey style and drunken boxing(which is a great workout for balance and stamina) but in the end all it amounted to was a good show. He had less points and went home

    Does anyone know the order of the belts in shotokan karate?
  8. yes that would work, but some of these fancy sword they have now if you toudch them theyll rust and itf you sharpen them they will fall apart so be carful.
  9. well they were right about flicking the wrist because ive heard that from begginers to masters I myself would love to learn but have no one to teach me so i am also self trained, but i have nothing to throw but rocks so that will do for now.
  10. Well i dont have any armor and if i did whenever he plunged at me i would run in and make his hand shake and then take him out

I would walk forward no fear and when he swung at me i would break his arm and take the katana. then i would get him on his knees and i would make him think there was no hope and swing at his neck, but just before i get there i would stop so that he only had a little scratch. then i would break the katatna in half(if possible)and disappear in the shadows(as soon as i practice enough to do it)

I turn a corner and when they come i take out one of the semi trained ones with a strike to the neck which breaks his windipe and he strangles on his one blood. then i quickly stun the one thats not trained with a kick in the groin. then i turn around and fight the othe semi trained guy aiming for the solar plex when i get him i knee him in the groin and break his neck, then i go over there and kill the guy that isnt trained and run over to the guy that is being mugged, now if i killed these guys and they werent after me WOW!!! i would be in trouble well there you have it
  15. It sure can be intimidatign the kaiii!!! One time my instructor was telling us to do it and he was demonstrating. he looked into my eyes and i knew he was going to do it but when he yelled it scared the crap out of me and i jumped so bad if i wasnt paying attention i would have fell down
  16. well style has alot to do on how to execute a move. It is basically the same thing!! If you get comfortable with the style then you will have no problem exicuting the moves
  17. fighting skills. brains over bronze. you can be the strongest man in the world, but it you dont know what your doing then yyour in trouble. and bodybuilders build thier bodys mostly with steroids and most of them aernt really strong. most weight lifters dont even have bulging muscles but they can still lift a bunch

  19. I have only been in one fight, but when the time comes i must fight for my protection or someone elses i wont back down and i wont go easy. Because messing with me is alright, but if you mess with somebody i love you wont see daylight again. Now calling them names is fine, but if you hurt them i wouldnt hesitate to kill you

  21. Well im about to have a rank test to see if i can go to yellow belt. We have to do 1 kata and also go over the basics. I know that if i yell real loud it will impress them, but what else will? suggestions pleeeeeeeeease!!!
  22. Well I would want a pretty mean teacher so he would hit me and i would become more focused. Well some people do when people hit them but some people just But me i become more focused so thats me!
  23. I would recomend muay thai. It was nicknamed the deadly art. Also called thai boxing as you probably already know. It is very tough and requires body tuning(making your bones stronger and ignore the pain) I myself would like kung fu, but you have to be pretty flexible and it is more speed than strength.
  24. Well i had my first class about two months ago and i know how it feels. It took me a while to tie the belt right also. Put the middle of the belt on your belly botton and cross it around your back and when it gets to the front make an x with the right side of the belt on top. Then bring the right side under both parts of the belt then tie it off. oh yeah! and during rank test yell keeai reel loud. that impresses them. And if they ask you if you are satified with what you did just then tell them no and ask them if you could do it over again. remember keai real loud
