  1. basically if you know how to act like a gentlman..an honorable person...if you are kind..compasionate..understanding...the rest will fall into place..you will be following the tenants..its that simple and not so mysterious...learn and take your experiences..and then spread that knowledge..this is the essence of taekwondo..and not how many different ways you may kick an oppents face in ...good night all..and goodnight
  2. it is now confirmed that in the months before the attack several of the terrroist sought martial arts training for the "jihad" mission on WTC look under abc news.com video under "terrorist trained here"......not only did we train them how to fly but how to fight our own citizens if they chose to stand up!!! how could we have been so blind???? _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-10-05 23:54 ] [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-10-05 23:55 ]
  3. no your are absolutely right..it wont come to pilots being armed but to have air marshals..and i dont think they need to be armed either..if they have good security screening on the ground so no weapons make it into the plane ..then air marshals with extensive martial arts training and tonfa should be adequate (hey marshal arts get it?)
  4. that was you right?...now who in your opinion is the baddest rapper and why?
  5. in regards to the martial artist making the style and not the martial art being the "BEST" when growing up bruce lee was made fun of becuase wing chun was considered a "womans art" and muhammed ali was picked on for being a skinny little black kid and to think alot of people dont even consider boxing a martial art...individuality is what its about..taking what you learn and adapting it to your personal style...one final comment...michael jordan was once told he would never make anything of himself with basketball
  6. its not hot in here..it must be you
  7. I beg to differ kind sir...it did start out as a tupac/biggie comparison..but for those of you just tuning in its now a hip hop thread...mr bloody eagle what say you who is the baddest rapper of them all
  8. horseraddish tree??? excuse me a minute...lol..i was eating cereal and just choked on it as milk flew out of my nose...it translates to "come here baby ive something for you you beautiful woman"..as you can see it sounds so much more sexy and inviting in spanish where it sounds corny in english...sometimes i could be saying something totally stupid in spanish and it sounds good..el sol se ve tan bunito quando lo veo en tu sappatos..now if you didnt know spainish you would be like wow what did you just say to me you sexy latin you..and i would reply the relection of the sun off your shoes looks beautiful...now give me your phone number you ....lol  _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-10-03 20:16 ]
  9. very well put...we try not to get into debates about best type here..it has gotten ugly in the past and is a subject better left unthouchd..
  10. thats for now I feel within the year all flights will have them
  11. kicker thats not exactly a good pick up line...goldragon" muy bein echo" and kickbut "ben aqui mami teng argo para ti...que sabrosa etes"
  12. probably your first move would be to get an english/spainish dictionary..as for websites..check your search engine..subject..learn spainish "buena suertes" (good luck)
  13. yes moobrack i am i believe the only boriqua (puerto rican) on this site let me know how i can help you" ey buenvidido al el launge de mi hente"
  14. deby that was a good way of putting it.as far as seeing military personel on the street..get used to this..if there is a lesson to be learned from sept 11 its this... we are not untouchable and i believe that is exactly the messeage that these terrorist orginizations were intent on getting across..alot of changes coming our way...
  15. you know he gonna have to start wearing chanpionship rings on his toes!!!
  16. yes kickbutt thank you for askijng
  17. i think hes done a great job here in new york for us..he should be allowed to stay in until a special election can be made until we get back to a more normal status..although we new yorkers have a reputation as being though we are all still shaken and are looking to him to continue to lead..now is not a good time for him to step down..
  18. sorry i didnt get right back rush...i also just noticed that that website is in german now...master kwon is now based in florida he has a few dojangs around the world including germany....the reason i say i am in awe of this man is the few times i met him in person he just had that aura of what a true taekwondo master is supposed to be..it felt like luke meeting yoda...the control and power he demonstrates in his execution of technique have to been seen to be believed..and i know hes like seventy now but still moves like a cat...he has always been an inspiration for me as well as my master instructor moon sung lee and my sahbumnim..master atef himaya..anyway gotta go due in to work in ten minutes..time to make the donughts.....
  19. welcome...i had a friend of mine named frank who had wanted to study taekwondo just to get a little excercise....he spent the first six months of training giving excuses about why he would never do splits high kicks or competion.."im too old"..i have back injuries"..i cant even open my legs that far"...tell you the truth i thought he would ouit before ten months...well here it is 10 years later and he just took his second dan test two months ago..and he has acomplished all that he said he couldnt do...we waste so much of life contemplating failure we miss our potentials...get in there a go for it..and enjoy the experience again welcome....buy the way you dont sell cat food do you with that name?
  20. well we need to follow the example set by EL AL ..thier track record is impeccable..thye enforce security factors from the parking lot to the airplane ..the ****pit is sealed off from the cabin the entire flight..and they have armed security on the plane...if we want to be safe we have to make sacrifices including arriving 3 hours before flight.. searches of luggauage and persons...we have to lose the attitude that we want everything fast..the arrogance of saying how dare you search or question me..and especially remeber that terroism can , has and will again take place here in america...the myth that we are untouhable vanished in the flames of september 11th
  21. i dont know i think i like nastrdamus and NAS..i am....anyway if you really like hip hop the whole jayz album is of the hook i mean every track too...H to the IZZO..b to theIZZA..thats the anthem throw your damn hands up!!!!
  22. didnt get that last one man
  23. 3 years i dont believe the attention span is enough at that age to start learning..and teacthing six and seven year olds is hard enough..six is generally a good age to sart with..five if the child has advanced attention span..personally i would prefer 8 i feel most parents enroll them earlier than that not so much they want thier kids to become martial artist but more so the dojang doubles as a babysitting/daycare center
  24. im a nas fan too pat but his older stuff..you gotta admit his last project OB'S FINEST..was a terrible album..and stemming from that nas made some remarks about jay z..so jay came back with a masterpiece retalilatory song....nas remains ouiet and in hiding
