How do I get more aggressive in my TKD class? I have a huge problem with being aggressive in class; namely, not being aggressive. My instructor REALLY wants me to be aggressive, but I'm so used to being quiet & shy in my normal life that it kind of leaks over into class. So, I need help! Any suggestions?

what do you have in common with shadow, may I ask? (hopefully it isn't walking thrugh walls) Well, we're both intelligent brunette martial artists whose parents are divorced. The only thing I DON'T have in common with Shadowcat is I don't have a Colossus of my own. I see, you'll find yourself a colossus one of these days, then you'll just have to be able to transubstantiate, then you're all set That, and get a pet dragon. Then, I'll be happy!

Currently, I'm a purple belt in tae kwon do.

My favorite superhero? I like Jubilee, Wolverine, and Shadowcat. Especially Shadowcat because I have a lot in common with her!

I would have gotten better grades, been more outgoing, gotten into martial arts earlier than 12th grade.

OK, I will soon be a blue belt and according to my instructor, at the blue belt level, the student must begin learning how to teach. And, to be honest with everyone(including myself), the whole teaching thing is kind of freaking me out. I really don't want to screw anything up(especially don't want to screw up with the kids in my class. That would just kill me.). So, I would like any tips, suggestions, advice, or whatever I need to know on being a good instructor. And, if it helps, I do tae kwon do. Please help me!

Yeah, it IS good. The songs are addictive. Trust me, I should know, I've listened to the soundtrack enough times to be able to sing a good portion of the songs. Which, could possibly make me REALLY pathetic!

My first exposure to the martial arts was probably Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I think.

My Dream guy would have to be: - intelligent - a little taller than me (I'm 5'4) - slightly older than me - good sense of humor - either Italian-American or Asian-American(Korean or Japanese) - MUST be a martial artist (preferably does TKD) - can deal with all my little quirks - someone who likes anime(this is optional) - doesn't smoke or do drugs(this is a must have!)

Hey, Sohan? I'm 25, so I can stay up all night if I so wanted. So there!

I have 2. Journal #1: my semi-private journal. Apparently it's semi-private because my mom reads it when I leave it open. Good thing I don't write REALLY private stuff in it then. Journal #2: my exercise logbook-journal type thingy (seriously, that's what I really call it! ) that my instructor got me to start doing. And journal #2 is VERY helpful for me, TKD-wise.

Played guitar since 1996. A little piano (played in elementary school. Still remember some of it, too.) The piano lessons really helped when I started guitar (made it easier to read the notes).

I love both of them. My Faves Comics: Marvel, specifically any of The X-Men series. Manga: any of the CLAMP series, pretty much any title in the Shojo genre, Ranma 1/2, Inu-Yasha I'm kind of a sad, little fan-girl.

Dio, Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Black Sabbath & if you consider the next 2 groups to be heavy metal, I REALLY love KISS and Poison.

The DVDs I like: anime (too many to list here!) Star Wars series Harry Potter series Lord of the Rings trilogy musicals (I have: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and RENT) Disney (have WAY too many to list here! ) The X-Men 1 & 2 Evil Dead trilogy Monty Python TV series (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer- Seasons 1 & 2, Hercules Season 1, Mind of Mencia Season 1, Qu**r as Folk Season 1) American cartoons (Jem & the Holograms, The Simpsons) So, basically, I like all my DVDs!
