  1. I'm somewhere in the middle. I'm a LOT better than I was when I first started, but I STILL have a long way to go. I know that I'm at the point where there's a few things I can do perfectly (this is directly from my instructor), but I still need lots of practice to get my techniques crisp, clean and powerful. And I need to remember to kihap when I'm supposed to. I'm getting there. Slowly.
  2. Other than TKD, my hobbies are: -reading -listening to music -playing guitar -making jewelry -collecting anime/manga -watching movies -playing video/computer games -cooking (sometimes)
  3. I was influenced by the Power Rangers, WMAC Masters, and Ninja Turtles. Gawds, I'm suck a geek!
  4. I picked 'other'. Here's the reason why: I've been interested in the martial arts for some time, so when my mom offered to pay for lessons, I jumped at the chance. My mom found a YMCA that was offering TKD. When my instructor switched Y's, I went with him. I'm still with him, by the way!
  5. I might not be the only on on this forum who does this, but I KNOW for a fact that I'm the only one who can do this in my TKD class. The "this" I'm talking about is: being able to put my chest ALL the way to the floor when we do the butterfly stretch.
  6. Check my MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/starchild317
  7. Something in the entertainment industry. Hopefully something creative! Other than that, I don't know.
  8. I'm nowhere NEAR 40 (and I won't even BE 40 for another 15 years), but I'm planning on training after 40.
  9. bearich, you stole my answer! The REAL answer: Norfolk, VA
  10. Would anyone consider the 2 boards I broke as memorabilia? Becuz my instructor signed them.
  11. KISS, in August 2004
  12. I sing(my mom says I'm good, but I think she HAS to say that cuz she's my mom!), play piano & guitar(both acoustic & electric). And, if I actually practiced more often on my guitar, I'd be MUCH faster than I currently am.
  13. My resolutions are: 1. Get my blue belt. 2. Break a board without breaking my hand. 3. Get more aggressive. 4. Get better grades in school. 5. Find a job, cuz-- I need money! I'm tired of being a poor, broke college student.
  14. What's wrong with this!! When I listen to music, if I even remotely know the song, it turns into a kareoke session. It may be annoying to the people around you.
  15. Cosmo Shojo Beat Black Belt
  16. KISS, Poison, Twisted Sister, Dio, Judas Priest, RENT soundtrack The only problem is, sometimes I start singing as I'm listening.
  17. The one thing I REALLY want, is my mom's friend to move back to the east coast. Cuz we really miss her. That, and a boyfriend. And total control of the world. But, if that's too much, I'd like sewing lessons. I'd like to make an anime costume to wear to next year's Nekocon.
  18. How do I get more aggressive in Tae kwon do? I have a huge problem with being aggressive in class; like, not being aggressive. I'm so used to being quiet & shy in my normal life it kind of leaks over into class. So, I need help!
  19. My instructor gave me some homework for next class. I'm supposed to find what makes Tae Geuk Sa Jang different from the first 3 poomse(which are Il Jang, Yee Jang, & Sam Jang)? I've gone over them like, a billion times, I've looked over my notes(I wrote the poomse down in a notebook), and I STILL have NO clue what makes Sa Jang different. Please help me! I'm desperate!
  20. I think that would be 'Best of the Best'
  21. I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I think I'm going to start competing. So I (being a COMPLETE newbie at this) need to know what a first-timer should expect? Or tips/ things I SHOULD know before I compete. I just don't want to make an idiot of myself.
