ITF Juche Tul, two-directional kick
bushido_man96 replied to DWx's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
My school does Gae-Baek as the second dan pattern. It is the one that I do currently. My school does Po-Eun as second dan recommended pattern. What is GTF Taekwondo? -

What rank is Juche done at, anyway? I don't think that my school does that form. -
The Chargers have got permission to speak with Ron Rivera from the Bears, and they have already, I think. They also got permission to speak with Singletary, and I think they did so today. I did hear that Rex Ryan was interested as well, as you said, and I think they will interview Jim Mora as well. There has also been talk about Norv Turner, who installed their current offensive system. Personally, from a team continuity standpoint, I think Turner would be the way to go, and attempt to hire Singletary or Ryan as a defensive coordinator. Does Ryan run the 3-4?

That is all good information, Baron. I can definitely see where this can come in handy. Thanks for sharing.

Traditional Shotokan Striking in UFC

There are a couple I think, correct me if I am wrong but I think that these guys do: Stephen Bonnar (not that hes doing very well at the moment!) David Louisea (not sure how to spell the last name, although I think he no longer has a contract with the UFC) Im fairly sure GSP has done TKD in the past Thank you for the list. -
I have the viral crud that is going around here right now. It really sucks. I am hoping I can be back to training next week.

Um, it is a great display of strength, and works different muscles than regular push-ups? I like the display of strength part, myself!

I've been sick all week. Man this sucks. -
Pro-force is usually good stuff. I think the curved bags are more conducive to kicking, so if you go that route, keep that in mind.

Good stuff!

Um... isn't that when you hold down for two seconds, then press up and kick when you're using Guile? Just kidding, welcome to the forums. Hey, that's what I was thinking!!

No doubt! All that hard work. All that cash! Apparently, there were 4 crew chiefs suspended for the Daytona 500, and the drivers were all docked 50 points prior to the race this weekend. Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Elliot Saddler, and Scott Riggs' crew chiefs all got suspended, for making illegal adjustments to the cars. Saddler, Riggs, and Kahne are all on the same team, (car owner Ray Evernham). Kahne's chief was suspended for 4 races, Kenseth's for 4 races. Riggs, and Saddlers' were suspended for 2 races each. I think that each were docked 50 points as well. Apparently, Michael Waltrip may be facing even more severe punishments for things found on his car. Just found out that Waltrip's crew chief and team director have both been suspended indefinitely by the rules committee. Waltrip has also been docked 100 points! Talk about being in a whole! Even if he wins the race, he will still be behind the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in points! Apparently, they found an illegal substance in the intake manifold of the car.

What do you do that not many others do?

Both of those are cool!!! "Don't mess with me, or I'll take out your integrated air defense system, buddy!" Then walk away while they try to figure out what the heck you just said!! -
My mom's idea of sleeping in is 8:00 AM. She is always up early.

We got about 4 inches the night before last, and it spat a little more snow today. It is kind of nice, but now it is bitter cold. We didn't get any sleds this year. I could have got some, but there was no snow on the ground at the time. It don't snow unitl February here, anymore. Thunderstorms in my region can range from thunder and lightining with high winds, to even hail and tornado warnings included. They can be rough, or just a storm. You never know, here in Kansas!

ITF Juche Tul, two-directional kick
bushido_man96 replied to DWx's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
That's a tough kick. I would practice stretching a lot. Then, practice the kick between two standing heavy bags. Make sure that you get the chambers in tight, and make the kick as dynamic as possible. Hope that helps! -
Traditional Shotokan Striking in UFC
bushido_man96 replied to juey palancu's topic in Pro Fighting Matches and Leagues
Serkan Yilmaz has fought in K-1, is that who you meant? That doesn't sound right, because I thought that there was a UFC fighter that had a TKD background. I agree with you here...the traditional MAs do form a good base. There are many fighters already out there who have admitted to having a base in differnent, more 'traditional' systems. I feel that many traditional stylists would like to move onto the higher level of MMA competitions, and take their MA training to that level, by joining an MMA gym and expanding their training.
