realize... its only the most important day in your martial arts training But seriously though i always tell my students, if you wernt ready you wouldnt be testing. Just make sure you eat before, run through your material and youll be fine GOOD LUCK
I won my ring in sparring. But i teach ATA so i spar almost daily with head contact with some excellent martial artist. Yea ATA forms would blow the others away. I hated thw WTF forms looks wise, but they were practical i guessed
sprawling is kinda like wrapping your arms around there neck when then are shooting in for your legs. Then while wrapping your arms shoot your legs back behind you and spread them out while supporting your weight on there neck. my biggest tip... get some business cards/fliers and get out there and just talk to people. I also travel around to elementary/middle/high schools and do free demos. Even if no one signs up... your getting your name out there.
yea i do some "aero" stuff too. I just start in a sparring stance. But u gotta make it whatever is comfortable for you. Different moves require different setups. Any move specifically you looking for?
an ex girlfriend of mine was into AAU stuff. I competed in a little tournament with point sparring but couldnt use my ATA forms . IMO ATA has some really nice looking forms, especially black belt forms.
I do XMA at my martial arts school. I think it has really helped my training. Besides the fact I can do some gymnastics now, I has made my hands and feet noticeably faster. Also I have seen confidence improvement in the younger children
