Man, I just got done sparring with my friend Mike. A few weeks ago he approached me and said he would like to learn Karate, but he didn't have enough money to go to any classes. So I taught him the basics, and how to apply them, and now he can use them in combat. I'm just happy that one of my friends took an interest in Martial Arts. -
Yoshiji Soeno nicknamed "The Tiger of Kyokushin" the founder of Shidokan Karate. In the 1970s, Soeno was the only warrior with the courage to challenge Reiba, the strongest Thai kickboxer in the world, who was dubbed the "Dark Lord of Muay Thai."

My friends don't understand it. I have been practicing Martial Arts for almost 11yrs. I started with Kenpo and Shotokan. Then I moved on to Kung Fu, Wing Chun, Shaolin Chuan, and Tai Chi. Then I decided it was time to try Muay Thai. I still practice those arts when I am not practicing Eugue Ryu. I just love the Martial Arts. -

Yeah, I am a 17 year old guy and my friends think that I am wierd. They think that anybody who practices the Martial Arts are wierd. One day, my friend Kevin told me that I wouldn't have a life if I didn't practice Martial Arts. I told him that Martial Arts is a way of life, and that it is the same thing with him and basketball. You have to devote your body and soul to gain mastery. -

We pretty much only do prearranged Sparring. The other person usually knows what you are about to do. Like, The attacker will step foward and pupnch or some other strike and you have parry and counter attack. Thats what we do. I would like to Spar. Me I could do it without pads, but more than likely they would want to wear pads. That would be fine. Just we need more sparring. That way we could put what we learn into actual Application, so that way if we are ever attacked we can use it. -

Yes, I think I was. -
I like Kata as well, but I would have to say that sparring is my thing. The only problem is that I don't have anyone to spar with anymore.

I have thought about starting Goju. What is it like?

My Sensei charges $20 every seven weeks for tuition, and $10 for the testing and belt fee. I can say this, there are no complaints.

I hope you have a speedy recovery. I had a foot injury not that long ago, not as bad as your knee injury, but still pretty bad. The bottom of my shinbone had popped out of place. Even after we put it back in it was painful just to go into a stance, particularaly(sp?) Neko Dobi Ashi(Cat's Paw Stance.) Once again hope you have a speedy recovery.

It didn't take me long to be able to use Tai Chi in Combat. I have been studying for about 6 years now and haven't lost a match using it. I believe it is very effective. I practice Yang Style Taijiquan. -

It kinda suprises me how very little people know of Eugue Ryu Karate. Heck, I had never heard of it until i started learning it. -
