Well, many people say that it's harder to gain weight than to loose it... So I wouldn't be too sure about what you just said. I don't have any problems gaining weight!! Well, I don't have any problems sticking at my current weight either. But ok, you get my point.

Well, maybe it's not an average question... But I want to gain some weight, although I'm never hungry. And when I AM hungry I'm filled in no time!! - So with other words: for me it's almost impossible to gain weight. Now I'd like to get some info on possible food-supplements? * Is there any (it has to be on a natural base, not bad for the body) stuff on the market that increases your apetite? Thanks... --> PS: It's easy to say "eat some more"... But if you're not hungry, you're not in the mood to eat.

Well, I always put a new belt in a tube of cold water (so it will not shrink and the colour will remain)... Than leave it in the cold water for 1 night. If it still stays too stiff, repeat it...

https://www.elasticsteel.com I just bought the book and read it yesterday. It realy looks promising, as it contains many interesting details that many other books don't describe. - My question is: Do any of you have any experience with Elastic Steel? And is it realy that good as it says it is? (I have a pretty good feeling after reading the book, many new details written down realy make sence)

RUN Forrest, run!! -
I have an Adidas "Judo-line" Uniform for sale (worn only a few times). It has extra stiches so it's pretty strong (I used it for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and it works fine). Size: 180 cm

Basic Questions on Jiu Jitsu
Iceman replied to pitters's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
Well, there is some kicking/punching involved, but the focus lies on the groundwork (specially with BJJ, that I did). I think it's about 80%-20% -
Guys, I found a few good books (IMO), but I don't know what to go for. - My main goal is to get the maximum out of my stretching-routine, in order to get more flexibility. After I get the desired level of flexibility, I also want to focus a bit on getting a bit more muscular. These are the products that got my attention: 1) http://www.elasticsteel.com/products.html - I'm interested in getting all 3 books. OR 2) http://www.amazon.com/Stretching-20th-Anniversary-Bob-Anderson/dp/0936070226/sr=8-1/qid=1157481966/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-1698801-1753545?ie=UTF8&s=books Now, what would you guys recommend me?

Stretching your muscles under the influence of alcohol??
Iceman posted a topic in Health and Fitness
Maybe a strange question to you guys, but I have a question. Last week I've started to think and came up with the idea of starting my stretching routine by having a few glasses of alcohol first. This idea came to my mind, because (if I understand correctly) it's a well-known fact that your muscles become more supple after using alcohol.. - Well, I'm trying this since a few days now, and indeed I'm starting to realise that I have a higher pain-barriere (after drinking some glasses of alcohol), resulting in higher levels of stretching-performance... limits which I normally can't reach. Now my question is... what kind of influence does this have on my "overall performance", keeping in mind that (starting Friday next week) I will continue to stretch without alcohol again? Will I have an advantage because of the fact that I DID use alcohol this week (and my limit was higher because of this)?? Are there any people around here who have any experience with the use of alcohol, prior to starting their stretching routine? Yes, I know... it's not an average question. -
Well, many words look alike... but it's stil a bit different.

This is a demo of Jean Frenette performed at the Martial Arts Festival in Bercy 1990. Jean Frenette is a former member of the Canadian World Karate Team. It's a great Kata performed on music. I hope you like it. http://www.megaupload.com/nl/?d=23V20EO2

A heavy Gi is stronger than a light... But in light you can move easier (and you sweat a bit less).

BJJ for MMA at what belt?
Iceman replied to Maddwraph's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
Well, I would recommend to first get your 1st Degree Blackbelt (at least)... Get some experience in Matches. - And it would not be a stupid idea to also get into some standing-up, like Kickboxing. -
I was wondering, since I have... do you people also have any nicknames?? My nickname is Iceman (or simply Ice)... - I got it in August 2000 at my sportclub. They called me Iceman, because my body-temperature is always very cool... and because my character is a little bit cold. I'm also a person which is very easy on the emotional side. And my fighting-style looks like a robot (not distractable, and fully focused on my opponent). -- My girlfriend has other names for me, but that's for her ONLY ... * So what is your nickname, and why??
