  1. could be adrenaline, but adrenaline flows through the entire body not just your arms or w/e and ive never encountered tingly feelings with adrenaline, i could be wrong,.......ive been able to get the tingly feeling but only in my hands, its a slow process when you dont have a teacher or time to meditate all the time
  2. as shorin ryu said there is a big difference between lumping together what you think are the best techniques(which lots of people have been doin) and actually formulating a relatively new theory and or aproach to fighting and then building the curriculum around that
  3. if its a class specifecally for 5-7 year olds i dont think the style makes a difference
  4. i understand that alotta techniques can have deadly applications but allotta martial arts dont focus on it, thats all im saying, and i know taekwondo doesnt focus on one technique kills, but there are some arts where fairly early on you'll be taught techniques SPECIFICALLY for killing, try not to overthink the question
  5. ya wing chun teaches full extension but its still a different punch i say do your shoalin forms the same as always, if you start practicing your wing chun punch with shaolin structure your not doin a wing chun punch anymore so theres no point................IMO
  6. i think he means the one that concentrates the most on killing techniques, like i take taekwondo, and there arent many nech breaks or anything in there
  7. 60 a month, another 30 per private lesson(thinkin bout it)
  8. well im not gonna lay it out as harsh as manabi i will you gotta get a lil more experience and a few more years before you get to "loud" about how good you and your style are, because confidence is good but useing it to mislead students is wrong.............or we could all be wrong and you could be the ultimate martial arts prodigy, otherwise slow down talk to some people here about your style more seriuosly bounce ideas off them and learn
  9. well i personally would never kill a guy, i'd knock him out, break every bone is his body if i had to, but id still stick around and wait for the paramedics. might run if the cops came depends how confident i am in my own actions lol, but i dont think theres any situation that would REQUIRE killing, i dare anyone to point out a situation where a deadly technique MUST be used over an incapacitating one
  10. it is dubbed you just have to select it its not default
  11. i strongly agree with patrick, your dads probably the best guy to go too about this. the only reason this guy keeps doin it is because slaps on the wrist arent getting through, you need somebody whose gonna "freak out" about this, im sure if a big stink is made and this is brought to the entire congregations attention he will be so embarassed he'll barely be able show his face, and besides what are dads for? lol..............oh and make sure youve seriously made it clear to this guy in person that you wanted him to stop, otherwise he'll just play the "i had no idea it hurt that much" card
  12. lol well ive now officially become intrigued with manabi masho juijitsu whats the site i'd like to see if its worth the superchicks gossip lol
  13. what do you practice now?
  14. well i know there's hapkido style sparring, i think its WHA rules so i dont think theres any reason why not
  15. b3n: but have you trained in hapkido for 8 years??
  16. haha so ya anybody with a good 40 000 to spare can challenge, i dont know the guy but i know its a rediculous challenge
  17. could you explain this style more in depth? sounds interesting
  18. wow i never knew steven seagal was an 8th degree in aikido, just goes to prove that point lol
  19. ya theres a big difference between punching with all your weight and punching with all your energy
  20. ive been told tht isometrics(some of them) can improve speed power and chi, is there truth to this?
  21. i know for a fact that it can increase power not sure about speed though, but people like my dad and step brothers who practice chi are very fast, hopefully they'll teach me one day...........but im sure master jules and dtstiachi will have better answers
  22. it does seem very effective in those videos yes, and im sure if the people those moves were being performed on werent trained there could be some nasty injuries, but i still wouldnt categorise it as brutal
  23. very good videos i think they highlight quite well how hard a 'soft' art can be,...........lol if you watch video 10 he gets tripped before getting tripped
  24. tufrthanu i had figured i'd go to that school but then i found this wing chun school, and the other thread was pretty old so i figured i'd post another and thanks for the advice enviroman
