Just look at ussd, they started with 50 schools in 1988 now they have around 130. freinds of mine have notice most of USSD's schools are run by 1st dans and red belt. not many high ranking instructors left villaris to go with mattera besides demasco who never got rank from mattera. I hear he trains with a shaolin monk in new york.

Anybody hear of instructor get promoted do to a successful school? I was just wondering if villari or mattera did that ? Or did they just promote you for martial arts skill not buesness skill?

They brokeaway from nick cerio and formed ussd.The style is shaolin kempo.Fred villari in 1981 changed the name to villaris self defense centers. In 1988 charles mattera broke away from fred villari and bought the ussd name or villari never copyrighted it and matera pick it up for nothing, dont know the details?
