I took my wife out,got away from tha kids for a few so we could spend time together.It was good.

I like both but,I say I prefer Kata,IMO if you work hard and get proficient at your kata It'll make Kumite much much easier,and you'll be much better at it.

I seem to have tha same money/time issues myself.I'm only 23 married with a 20 month old son and just had a little girl 1-31-05,Trying to pay tha bills,then I'm at church wednesday and all day sunday.So trying to get to class gets a little rough sometimes.Espcially when I need quality time with my Wife and my children,I dont wanna spend all of our spare time doing things I wanna do,So I figure I'll bring them to class to let them watch in tha waiting area,then afterwards I;ll take all of them out so they can do a little something as well.

It's hard to track directly,because of so many different Kenpo/Kempos,But ive heard and read that it originated in China,but I've also heard that it originated in Okinawa,needless to say there are Japanese/Okinawan Kenpos and their are chinese versions.
