  1. Secrets of Okinawan Karate by Kiyoshi Arakaki.- I dont think I have that one in my collection
  2. I have seen this work to some degree. If the dance studio has multiple class rooms, then finding open times may be easier. I would also suggest trying to work with a percentage lease rather than a straight per month lease. In other words, pay rent according to how many students you have in a particular month. This may be especially helpful if you have limited start-up capital. Not everyone is open to that type of set-up, but it may be worth investigating. Best of luck Been there. Done that. When they have to "practice up for recitals or reviews, they are there in "extra innings. And them you have some non-pleasant music echoing.

  11. Speaking of frustrated, I hope Gilbert will take it easy and understand we share a common bond. Now Gilbert, don't take this as a offense.
  12. Ok. Gilbert, what you have to do is not get ruffled just because someone does agree with you. Or when someone is going to debate you. The maturity of a martial artist, is to hone any overindulgence of pride, ego, and fast temperment. I am not going to "bash" your typing, via intentional insulting, but anyone that desires to "poke" a little fun at it, you should be a better person and "laugh" it off as well. And when you post your opinion, have a little more depth presentation of it. Take your time to write, then proof-read what you have written. Trust me, I cannot begin to tell you how times, in how many posts, that I have prrof or re-read what i had written. Yes, WE all make grammatical errors. I could only wish that you were my student, i had many such as you that needed much guidance. I mean that on a way a little more than you have, won't hurt. BTW, I welcome you to the board.
  13. Another person wanting books or videos. Is their really a shortage of qualified schools and/or instructors out there? No offense.
  14. Yeah, it can become complicated for people whom have no agility to start off with.
  15. Then I suggest to gilbert to PM anyone with confidence if he is "shy" about it. I mean, not to side for him, or against others, but other authors do not have a "open" mention of their studies also.
  16. I dont remember anyone calling names or not playing any reindeeer games.
  17. One can still distract he mind by doing a low kick and then going for something else. Why fake it, take it.

  19. Any drunken practitioner may get nasty when sobered.
  20. Any martial art training is not "complete" ( I think this is what you were saying). Anyone can be a instructor. There is a difference from a McDojo instructor to a qualifying experience one.
