I was a sparring judge at the 1993 (or 94) World TKD Championships. The BB world title fight was between my friend and someone I didn't know. I disqualified myself as a judge because of my friend. He won anyway. But as a judge I have seen other judges make "questionable" calls.

They might be hand made I don't know, I was just commenting on the "practical use" part of the question. Since that web page doesn't clearly state that they are hand forged, hand folded or have passed all of the cutting standards, I wouldn't count on those sword to cut anything. They're just decordations. Nothing wrong with that.

I think most MAs have eye gouges. I would only recommend them in a life or death type fight because you're looking at exessive force issues.

There is a difference in "knowing" and "memorizing" a kata. Practice, practice, practice.

I would not want my art to be turned into a sport.
