Go down slow , go fast up => train explosiveness and endurance and that are 2 things that you need as a MA (personal opinion) If you want to get to 100 there a many ways. Day # 1 : do 1 push up Day # 2 : do 2 push up's ... Day # 100 : do 100 push up's (WHIEE) Or you can start with sets and reps like 4*15 then 4*20 then 4*25 then pull the sets together 3*33 , 2*50 then 60 + 40 and so on I do now 5*25 push ups (1min rest in between) , if I do them straight after each other I can do 80 - 90

Hello everyone ... I was wondering what great exercises are to lower you bodyfat. I know running is a very good one (HIIT training or Guerilla Cardio) and if I'm not mistaking jumping rope also. But the problem is I live in Belgium and it's now winter so * cold and it's raining all the time ... so running isn't fun to do anymore. So I'm looking for some exercises that I can do indoor.

Russian Special Froces Training?
Draven Chen Zhen replied to Niko's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Ya I also think Russian Special Froces learn Systema , also ROSS and SAMBO. The basics of this system come originaly from Japan. There for it has some simularities with Aikido => use the power, force of your oponent, not your own. There are no katas or is there a uniform or grade system. A few quotes Black Belt Magazine: "No rules, no belts, no nonsense. Systema - a fighting art without all the needles baggage." American Survival Guide: "The techniques are simple and deadly, practical and effective, based on a few unique and powerful principles." New Mexico Law Enforcement Journal: "Simple, highly effective...truly the only martial art you need to know to live in the real world." HERE is a little movie of Systema ps: sry for my bad english -

The purpose of this thread wasn't really to grade the site, but to grade Close Combat in general, as a technique as a MA. -

I'll do my best to explain. First we do normal punches, standing straight, right arm is forward, then punch left then punch right again. That is the first punching exercise. The following exercise is the same as above but we are in horse stance. Next we go into mabu (horse stance), our left arm is in the air, then we punch to the left side with the right arm and we go out of horse stance into left leg in bow and right leg straight. Then the same exercise but now on the right side These are the basic punching exercises. If my explanation is to bad just let me know and I'll try again -
how much you pay for training
Draven Chen Zhen replied to P.A.L's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
So you can go every day? And follow lessons? Or train in the dojo on your own?? I pay 160€ for 4 months, 3 lessons a week (80min/lesson) , Shaolin KF. Sorry for the confusion. There are classes offered 5 days a week, and you're welcome to attend each of those. The only people who can train in the dojo alone are Brown Belts and above, as they are the only people who have a key to the place. Ah that's nice. @Thaegen, little far for me -
Great minds think alike

Anyone studying Close Combat??
Draven Chen Zhen replied to Draven Chen Zhen's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
nice post Drunken Monkey, but don't worry I'll keep studying KF. I would like to start CC because there you see a lot of different styles. Now I train, 2 times a week, for 80min/training. And maybe 3 hours a week at home. But it still isn't enough. It's like a drug , if I could I would train 24/7, but with school and sleep and stuff that's impossible So I want to start a second MA, so I chose CC because it is totally different from KF. -
