  1. Hudson is right! Also,I have heard from some people that you may build up a tolerance to the drugs, needing more to achieve the same results. Diet is the best way to lose bodyfat!
  2. Upstate New York for me!
  3. Cool topic!!! I am in the final stages of restoring my 65 Mustang I'm not pushing the Hp that Master Jules is,but it is around 450hp. Not too shabby for a 289+ It should be a fun"cruiser."
  4. My first shepherd and I trained with the head of the k-9 division(in my area) Complete with german and hand signals. I even showed him. I looked into doing schutzhund training with him,but decided against it,because he was very dominant.(and very large) At the time I only outweighed him by 3lbs! Of course I carried my training over to the dog I have now.He is very well behaved. Kick1ko: Please don't let your dog drink from the toilet. Many household cleaners are dangerous to dogs. Bleach and pine cleaners especially(even if just used in their areas,on the floor etc) Some cleaners are known to cause seizures and other illnesses in dogs. If you do a serach you will find a list of dangerous cleaners.(Just wanted to pass along that info)
  5. My german shepard's name was Jazz(he passed almost 11 yrs ago) I still miss him! I have another shepard now,his name is Storm They are my favorite breed! Smart, well behaved, handsome and dangerous looking!
  6. I can't believe the others listened to him!
  7. Eating the smaller frequent meals are a start! This will keep your metabolism going. Make sure you get enough protein at least 1 gram for every lb of body weight. Try to eat "real" foods, not processed. Carbs should come from a complex form(as much as possible) Whole grains, vegetables, etc. Meat is fine, choose lean cuts. Sweet potatoes are a better choice over white potatoes. Also, eat healthy fats from olive oil, flax oil or seeds, nuts etc. Stay away from trans fats! That's a start for you.
  8. You will lose bodyfat quicker through proper nutrition and weightlifting, along with cardio. I do HIIT,on the treadmill, bike and recently The mini tramp(that's alot of fun)
  9. When I am in class,I personally will clear my mind and relax. I find this very useful before a test, especially if I am feeling nervous. I find that I will concentrate on my techniques and forms(before going to sleep) I run through them in my mind, for me,this helps a great deal.
  10. I'm planning on it guys! I love Kuk Sool!!!! I will be going for my red belt soon Thanks for the encouragement!
  11. I think there are a few more!
  12. When properly executed a joint lock(especially when accompanied with a pressure point) should produce enough pain...that the person will not be able to think of a retaliation. Not to mention,in a real situation, a joint lock may lead to a broken bone or another injury. In class,we are taught to "release" as to not inflict injury.
  13. That's pretty much what I am doing now. It always seems to bite me though,LOL For instance, tons of push-ups(in class) the day after I do my chest or arms....or killer horse stance sessions the day after legs,LOL Some way or other I will make it work. Thank you for the reply!
  14. I am currently trying to get my workouts together. I have started to lift weights again, also trying to get some HIIT in there. I do Kuk Sool Tuesdays and Thursdays(with an occasional Wednesday thrown in) To get back into the weights,I did 2-3 full-body WOs,now I am splitting up my body parts. How do you guys integrate your workouts without overtraining? My goal is to gain alittle size and lose some fat. My diet is good. 4-6 meals a day, with adequate protein, fat and carbs. Thanks
  15. Hello, I was gone for awhile and noticed we have a few new faces. I just wanted to see how many people are practicing Kuk Sool. I started doing Kuk Sool alittle over a year ago. I am a blue belt with two stripes My Master is KJN Gary Evarts. https://www.kuksoolgreaterrochester.com
  16. I had the pleasure of training under a Korean 7th Degree Black Belt at the Kuk Sool Seminar last summer. It was an intense 2 days! After the first day,I was soooo sore....I didn't want to move! But being the glutton for punishment that I am,I went back...LOL

  18. Hi Justin, I attend the Williamson KSW School. I just wanted to say Hi neighbor!
  19. I would have to say flexibility. It comes fairly easy for me. The second is endurance. I've come to realize this by working with the younger students. They are huffing, puffing, and complaining long before me....lol. I'm working on the other attributes! As for a MAs,I would think a combination of all listed would be the ultimate goal.
  20. This is what I found out.......... Monday will be black belt testing, then a dinner. Tuesday and Wednesday,it's the actual seminar 5-9pm. I'll be on vacation, but will be driving back to attend Tuesday. If I'm not too whooped,I will stay and do Wednesday also. I am psyched!!! Also alittle scared....
