Hey everyone. My dojo's website has an art section which is devoted to those karateka who create works of art based on Karate. Sketches and drawings, paintings, poetry, etc. are all welcome. If you want, you can e-mail the dojo to submit your art. You will of course receive your due credit, and please let us know in your e-mail whether this is copywrited. I'd like to thank everyone in advance who submits some art and/or writing. The art can be viewed at http://www.peijka.ca under the Gallery section near the bottom of the left menu.

When I first joined my own dojo I looked upon the more advanced students similarly, BritNoob. I would constantly compare myself to their standards of performance. This turned out to be bad for my morale because I would constantly get myself down because I couldn't kick as high as they could or last as long in the stances as they could. The point is, you should compare yourself with your own performance and capabilities. Set goals based on that and as you reach each goal, simply move on to another.

I think they have to offer you fries with every lesson, too.

We like to do bunkai every class, but if not, we'll do it every other class. I agree, its an important aspect of learning physical applications and variations/adaptation.
